EXCELLENT POE SWITCH.
This 8 port POE switch is just right for smaller setups requiring POE power. It's not just an 8 port switch though, it is 8 POE and 2 standard gigabit ports. So uplinks that don't need POE give extra ports. Easy to use, just plug in your devices. No failures, and it's plenty fast. One detail to pay attention to. When you start loading up the ports and pulling a good bit of power, it does get on the warm/hot side. Give it ventilation, even just sitting it on it's side, and it's fine.

1 year later, still performing reliably!
I purchased two of these in January 2021, and have put one of them to use in February 2021. I use this switch to provide connectivity and power to four Reolink RLC-410-5MP security IP cameras. I live in a location with tropical weather climate (i.e., warm weather all year long, ambient temperatures between 78F-89F). This switch is housed inside a plastic junction box with no external ventilation. Providing this information to give an idea of the operating conditions and environment. After about 1-year of use, this POE network switch is still working as intended, and reliably. I had reservations about purchasing this switch over other well known brands. What ultimately convinced me was the price point of this switch and the two uplink ports, effectively making this a 10-port switch with 8 ports having POE+ capability. The other well known brands are typically sold as 5-port switches. The next selling point was that the other well known brands typically only have POE power output (15 watts per port), while this switch provides POE+ output (30 watts per port). While 30 watts is not required for the Reolink cameras that I am using, I wanted to have the capability to support higher wattage cameras, such as those with PTZ capability, should I decide to upgrade or replace the existing cameras. Finally, this switch offered all these additional capabilities at a price point that was lesser than the other well known brands. It was a risk to take even though it was cheaper, as this decision could have turned out to be more expensive if I ended up having to replace this switch with one of the well known brands. However, after about 13 months of use, this switch is still performing reliably! I haven't performed any benchmarks to confirm the Gigabit capability of this switch. The video feed from the Reolink cameras work flawlessly, but the data produced by the four cameras are not sufficient to saturate the gigabit capability of the switch. While I don't doubt the switch's gigabit capability, I also don't have data to support and confirm that the switch is, in fact, capable of gigabit transfers. I haven't even checked on this switch since I first powered it on. It has been maintenance free up to this point. The second unit that I purchased was for the purpose of providing an immediate backup unit, in the event that the first unit became inoperable. However, the second unit has just been sitting in storage gathering dust. Overall, my experience with the switch has been positive during the 1-year of use. I would buy this product again, for future projects that I may have that require POE+ capability.

Replaced a *much* more expensive unit that had fans and was noisy
This PoE switch is replacing a much more expensive unit that had loud fans. It has to be placed in a cabinet under my T.V. so the fans were annoying, plus I could tell that dust buildup was going to be a problem. I was also having intermittent problems with the old switch just refusing to communicate via any ports once in a while. When I wired this unit up it refused to send power to one of the PoE devices while the others were fine. After resetting and moving ports around I found that the problem followed the wiring and not the PoE device or the switch. Sure enough a CAT6 cable tester indicated an intermittent open. This switch refused to power the device and this is precisely what it should do when there is a wiring issue. I cut off the old connectors and put on new ones. Problem solved. This switch has been running 24/7 since the day of purchase. It runs cool, makes no noise and has been flawless. It is not managed but I don't really need any management features for this switch. I hope it sits quietly in the cabinet doing its job for so long that I forget I own it.

PoE switch
My use was to replace another PoE unmanaged switch. I just plugged this in and it worked as desired with my camera system - all devices got an address, no setup or programming was required.

Originally shipped switch didn't power my PoE+ device on all ports, a replacement worked just fine
None of the ports on this switch powers my PoE+ device, which is known to work with 802.3at -compliant switches. I used an NF-488 PoE tester, and it reported that all 8 ports were not PoE standards compliant. Going to return the switch. It otherwise functioned fine as a switch, but I need the PoE/PoE+ capabilities. Update: I retested. Only ports 5 and 8 of my 8-port switch power my PoE+ device. Update 6/8/2021: I requested a replacement from Amazon. The new switch arrived, and all ports were able to power my PoE+ device. I haven't yet tried my PoE tester to see what it reports. I am revising the number of stars upwards. Giving it 4 stars because it is a nice switch for the price.

That it works and it works consistently, two thumbs up for this router
Rock-solid PoE switch, quieter than a mouse, holds up through hours and hours of continuous use. Recommend: Pure copper Ethernet cables, Cat 6 or better. Had it up and running in 5 minutes. The 1000 Mbps is plenty of port speed; 30 watts per channel is more than enough for me. I doubt I will ever pull that much power. I have 120 watts total across all 8 ports. Great router for my video production company using NDI technology

Unstable Architecture.
The POE switch re-boots on its own, often I returned the first one I purchased. Having the same issues with the replacement. I have a professional IT person who manages my Network. I asked him to anylize the switch. Thes are his comments: I've evaluated the GPS208 switch we were looking at, and we need to pull it from consideration. The unit is inherently unstable and the firmware architecture makes it a liability for a standard deployment. Here are the primary failure points: Hardware Watchdog Resets: The unit spontaneously boot-loops. The internal power supply is failing to sustain voltage, likely due to a low-budget AC/DC conversion board. Even before approaching its advertised 120W PoE budget, the unit suffers from brownouts that trigger hardware watchdog timeouts. Locked Management Plane: Local web GUI access is disabled out of the box. This is a white-label OEM unit designed to force cloud provisioning. To unlock local management, the hardware forces you to bind its Device ID to a proprietary "STEAMEMO" mobile app. Aberrant Layer 2 Forwarding: It does not act like a standard unmanaged or managed switch. The firmware utilizes non-standard features like forced port isolation (which drops peer-to-peer traffic across access ports) and an "AI" PoE extension mode that chokes port negotiation speeds to push power over longer runs. Because the management plane is locked to an external app, these features cannot be readily bypassed locally. Given the power instability and the restrictive cloud-tethered provisioning, this hardware will just introduce network loops and points of failure. Let me know what alternative hardware you want to pivot to for this segment.

Surprisingly better than expected!
Surprisingly better than expected, the web interface is awesome! The way you can use any of 8 ports as PoE or a regular 1gbit port is handy! Plus 2 one-gbit ports is what I need by my TV equipment.
