right out of the box, the printer's LED display or Touchscreen did not work! There is a latch underneath that has a white button to reset it but it doesn't work|depress at all as if it is stuck. Other troubleshooting techniques equally failed. Now I have to send it back and look for another printer anew!! What a waste of time.

I have been using the HP Enterprise M607dn for one week. The learning/set up of this printer was a little more complex than some printers that I have had in the past (mostly Canon). As I have to work with very secure data bases and have recently had a computer upgrade with a lot of built in security protocols, my two year old Canon would not process the print commands on a timely basis. The Canon printer took 30 seconds to print first page and 15 seconds between pages). My IT person said that Canon printers had issues with the newly issued Windows 10 computers and the upgraded security software. The IT person stated that in their experience HP Printers handled the heavy security protocols the best. This printer did indeed solve my issue and is noticeably faster than my older but still serviceable Cannon D1550. Observations: 1. The printer is fast for both single and dual side pages. 2. Finding the setting for dual sided printing was a bit difficult; not the printer settings, but in Windows. It took me a while to diagnose the problem, locate the hidden setting, and uncheck a box. 3. The printer is expensive considering that it does not have a copy or scan feature. 4. Compared to its competitors, the plastic, especially the front door and trays are flimsy. With care in handling, I expect that it will hold up but it is, in my mind, substandard especially compared to the Canon. 5. The 607dn does not come with a touch screen; the keypad based screen (kind of small) is less than friendly to navigate. 6. The toner cartridges are EXPENSIVE and as others have noted, the HP software does not allow the use of the larger size toner cartridges. 7. One small problem for me is that the flashing light on the on/off button is way too bright, even for a well-lit room. I had to cover it with a piece of electrical tape. 8. The firmware was two iterations out of date; however, the update process was not difficult.

Was a little cranky on startup - the little screen wasn't being cooperative, but after it warmed up this thing works like a champ.

Some parts a little more flimsy than previous HP series, but so far good results and very fast.
