My child been using these, and a few other brands of water bottles for a while. The Ion8 has by far the best water bottle design for children. Kids have no trouble quickly opening and closing the lid correctly such that these bottles will never, ever leak! Even more impressive is that this leak-proof design has no hard-to-clean small parts, or silicon seals. These bottles stay clean and are also super easy to clean.The metal bottles are the best ones, they look great and last forever. We've found that the hard plastic bottles from this, and other brands, never seem to last more than 6 months of mild abuse before cracking, but with metal, cracking is not an issue. If banged around -- a child's backpack is a rough environment for water bottles! -- the shiny exterior can chip and the metal can ding but that's to be expected. This is for the 1.0 models, haven't tried the 2.0 yet. These are absolutely fantastic bottles for children (and grown-ups too).

I’ve watched my kids drop, throw, bottle flip, tread on and generally smash their steel ion8s around for an entire school year and they still don’t leak! So this was a no brainer for me. Brilliant quality. Never had a bottle last a whole year before and still go strong. Also they don’t get stinky like plastic ones even when used for squash

I bought this for my daughter to use for school and can highly recommend it. It hasn’t leaked. It is very sturdy and doesn’t easily chip or break. After several months of using it, there is only one slight scuff mark on it. It keeps her water cold and is easy to clean. Plus the purple is such a fantastic vibrant colour which hasn’t faded at all after being washed everyday. I will definitely be buying another of these in the future!

I really like these bottles. ION8 clearly understands that humans appreciate both hydration and convenience. They’re ergonomically appealing, totally non-spill (ideal for anyone who has ever attempted to drink water while walking and failed).I bought the purple one, but decided that the metallic red colour is more my style... It’s basically a festive bauble you can sip from. My favourite is actually the blue one, but my son has cleverly “borrowed” it indefinitely... proof, perhaps, that these bottles have cross-generational appeal.Overall, I’d definitely recommend them. Sturdy, practical, good-looking, and the red one is seasonally appropriate. If Father Christmas carried water, he’d probably use this one.

The seal around the neck is watertight but NOT the spout you drink from. The flip-top cap is supposed to come down tight on the spout but it doesn't. So it leaks unless it's kept upright.It's only useful to me now as a bottle to keep drinks in my fridge.

I already have one of these so knew it would be good but this one came with a cardboard wrapper glued to it and the glue was so strong that it took me ages to clean it off and when I finally managed to it had left a mark. I would recommend the manufactures use less strong glue for just attaching a bit of cardboard packaging to the bottle! Manufacturer also has no email address for me to feed this back to them on their website.

I was looking for a leak-proof water bottle that I can operate with one hand, without a straw and opted for this one. It's exactly what I wanted and works really well. With a simple lock that can be flicked off with your thumb, and simple catch that flips the lid open with a light press, it's exactly what I wanted. The fact that it's so simple means it's really easy to clean, unlike bottles with an internal straw that seem to be everywhere at the moment. There is no insulation so it's nice and lightweight and maximises capacity for the size. This does mean that you get condensation on the outside with really cold drinks, and it's unsuitable for hot drinks, but for my purposes, that's no problem. As a bonus, there's a good selection of colours available too!Really happy with this bottle and would be happy to purchase again.

Estoy muy contenta con esta botella. Es ligera, resistente y el color morado es precioso. La llevo todos los días al trabajo y no pierde ni una gota gracias a su cierre seguro. La abertura es muy cómoda para beber y también es fácil de limpiar.Aunque no es térmica, mantiene el agua con buen sabor y el acero inoxidable se nota de buena calidad. Además, cabe perfectamente en el bolso y en el portavasos del coche.Por el precio que tiene, la calidad es excelente. Sin duda volvería a comprarla y la recomiendo a cualquiera que busque una botella práctica, bonita y duradera.
