I bought this because my filament was getting humid and stringing up horribly. This fixed it, and my prints are looking much better in detail. Extremely easy to use, plug it in, turn it on, set a timer and that's about it!

A great filament dryer!

I bought the UNLU Official Filament Dryer S1 Plus about a month ago and it’s been a solid upgrade for my 3D printing setup. The heating works well for common filaments like PLA and PETG, and the built-in circulation fan helps keep the temperature even throughout the box. I’ve noticed fewer print issues from moisture since using it. It doesn’t get hot enough for some higher-temperature materials, but for everyday use it does exactly what it’s supposed to. Overall, a reliable and convenient filament dryer.

I really shouldve bought this sunlu s1 filament dryer sooner. I've been using it for some ninjatek TPU that has been left out for about a year. It has almost completely eliminated my clogging issues. I feel like I will save alot of money over time with this unit as I always threw away filament that was clogging rather than dry it in my kitchen oven. It also nice that you can print straight from the dryer. The reviews that say it doesn't have a fan or get hot enough worried me but I found they weren't accurate to what I received.

So this is a review for the SUNLU Filament Storage Box. So this box contains a heater that can be set from 35C - 55C. It has a sensor so it can display the actual temperature. So there are many things I like, and a few I don't. On the positive, this is a great box that works well. Its not much larger than the spool of filament. It can draw up to about 48 watts, which is great for a box this size. And the heater can be on when you are dispensing filament. Now what I don't like. There is no OFF switch, you just reduce the timer to zero and it shuts off. It works but I think it could be better. Also there is only two buttons, which means one of the buttons has to control what you are setting and also up/down. This is a bit confusing in day-to-day use and the buttons aren't labeled well. Second, the filament rests on two rollers, but it still takes a bit of force to pull the filament. So maybe better bearings. Third, for very sensitive filament, it would be nice is it had a j-Head connector so PTFE tube could be connected. These are all things that are easily fixed, so hopefully they will be. Still, this is a very useful product and it does a good job.

I received this and immediately put it into action. It works well, as expected.

Worked great on drying filament. I’m new to 3D printing. Having problems with feeding through extruder and nozzle. Turned out, moisture was the issue. Printer is working great now. Recommend this product.

Made the mistake of spending money on this garbage device 2 years ago. Be prepared to lose 2/3rds of your prints with it. It ruined its last print today. This poorly constructed garbage will cause nothing but frustration for you. The filament constantly pulls the lid open defeating the entire purpose. If it doesn't open the lid, the rollers won't roll and it will tip over. It is insanely unstable and will spend 87% of its time fallen over and ruining your prints. The only reason it gets 1 star is when it actually does work, I have noticed the print quality is very good. Very smooth prints with the warmer incoming filament. Not good enough to overcome its many other short comings.

Ottimo essiccatore per filamenti! Acquistato in promozione qualche mese fa (prime days), utilizzato tantissimo e finora molto soddisfatto dell’acquisto! Consente di impostare temperatura e tempo di funzionamento, manca l’indicazione dell’umidità, ma non ne ho sentito la mancanza. Testato con bobine BambuLab e Sunlu e funziona egregiamente, senza inceppamenti. Silenzioso (si sente solo il ronzio - leggero - della ventola), di sicuro la stampante fa più rumore. Credo sia un buon acquisto se la stampante è posizionata in stanze o locali non proprio asciutti. Io la uso in un locale tecnico e ho dovuto mettere anche un deumidificatore. Prima di stampare accendo entrambi per una mezz’ora e la qualità delle stampe sembra sensibilmente migliorata!

Me ha funcionado bien y con buenos resultados. La calidad del producto no es la mejor, pero tampoco es una chafada, cumple bien, funciona bien y no desepciona. No es nada mala compra.

Very compact filament dryer. So far I have used it for ePLA and TPU spools while printing. Nice and lightweight so it sits on the top of the printer currently on a small custom printed plate (though it will be moved to a shelf soon). Recommended for those printers that do not have an AMS type changer system and want a good way to keep their filaments in good condition while they are printing.

Ein weiteres tolles Feature ist die Anzeige der relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit (%RH) im Inneren der Box. So kann man die Luftfeuchtigkeit im Raum mit der im Gehäuse vergleichen, was sehr wichtig ist, um sicherzustellen, dass das Filament richtig getrocknet und bereit zum Drucken ist. Natürlich lässt sich auch die Temperatur je nach Filamentart einstellen, was die Nutzung sehr flexibel und einsteigerfreundlich macht. Zusätzlich hat die Box eine kleine Öffnung, durch die das Filament direkt in den Drucker geführt werden kann, ähnlich wie bei einem integrierten Halter. Für diesen Preis ist das Gerät wirklich jeden Cent wert. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. --------------------------- ENGLISH VERSION: This filament dryer is amazing. It’s quiet, sleek, and works exactly as it should. I love that you can set a timer so it turns off automatically. That’s super useful if your 3D printer is connected to the cloud. I just preheat the filament with the timer, and a few hours later I can start the print remotely without worrying about over-drying. One of the best features is the ability to read the relative humidity (%RH) inside the dryer. This lets you compare the room humidity to the internal environment, which is super important when you want to make sure the filament is properly dried and ready for high-quality prints. You can also adjust the temperature depending on the type of filament you’re using, which makes it really flexible and beginner-friendly. It also has a small opening that lets the filament feed directly into the printer, working like a built-in holder. For this price, it’s absolutely worth it. I can’t recommend it enough.
