Good Quality, Great Speeds
Good Product the only issue I could say is that the locking bracket for the M.2 SSD is a bit naff a screw would be a lot better its not an issue in day to day use at all though I could see it being a problem if you drop the enclosure I can see your SSD flying across the Starbucks floor because of the flimsy locking bracket

On the whole recommended, just cable is too short
I was using an SSD (1Tb Samsung Evo 860) in a sata enclosure for my Apple Photos drive. Linked to an Apple Mac Mini with 16mb of RAM I was getting significant lag editing photos and scrolling through 40k+ photos.I switched to this device with a Sabrent Rocket 1Tb M2 NVMe drive in an attempt to get round the lag. The faster write/read speeds in conjunction with the Thunderbolt housing has thankfully reduced almost all the perceptible lag, and only video editing (4k GoPro) now seems to make it work hard.I'm not into monitoring numbers, there are plenty on here who live by that mantra. For my own personal purposes with this configuration it solved my issues. You need to initialise the drive before use using Apple Disk Utility . My O/S version is OS-X big sur (11.2.3 as of mar-21), drive was formatted as APFS / GUID partition map.Pros: Easy to install, tool free, no screw required (twist lock screw included), very dense aluminium casing, nicely made, matches mac lighting / design, seems a decent step up from SSD/SataCons: Proprietary cable with lugs (see photo), cable is too short, cant buy another longer cable that I can see so far

Works well with no issues so far
Cheapest TB3 PCI-E NVME external enclosure I could find which I'm using with my 2018 Mac Mini. I'm currently using it as an external boot drive for testing the Big Sur beta and it works well in this role. Installation was easy & I appreciated the toolless nature of the design. Build quality is also very good & speeds are nice & quick. The only gripe I have is with the short TB3 3 cable & housing connector which as others have said has been made proprietory via the little notch in the TB3 housing and corresponding indent needed in the cable in order for it to fit.Other than this it seems pretty much perfect.

Well Built and Works Perfectly. No Disconnection Errors!
Straight away, I could tell this is a superior product. The fit and finish is excellent. The quality of the materials is evident in the smoothness of the edges, the reassuring weight of the enclosure and the secure fitting of the cover. It was very easy to install my Western Digital SN750 NVME SSD. The instructions are simple and the SSD is held in place securely. I was worried by other reviews that said the cable had indents one of the plugs. I am happy to tell you the good news that Sabrent have obviously listened to these complaints because the one I received has no notches or bumps and uses a standard thunderbolt 3 cable. I haven't bothered with benchmarking because it seems just as fast in practice as my previous enclosure BUT this one does not randomly disconnect when I am writing or copying to the SSD. No more annoying error notifications nor crashed applications. This enclosure has a rock solid connection that does not disconnect at all! This is why I bought Sabrent and why the other, unreliable enclosure will probably go to recycling.

Beware - not full speed.
This is a fantastic looking and feeling unit, really high quality, but unfortunately it only operates at half of the TB3 bus speed, meaning your NVMe drive will be limited to about 1300mbps, regardless of how fast the drive can go. It's a shame as it's otherwise a fantastic product.

Fast drive and great for pro video work,
Really happy with this product. I have 2 2TB WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD in there and although the write speed isn't great at about 1100MB the read speed is brilliant 2300MB, this is running in Raid 1 (Client Video work so needed the redundancy) via thunderbolt 3 on a 2020 Macbook Pro. Perfect for working on large projects. Build Quality is excellent and comes with a thunderbolt cable. It is a little trick to get the drives into place but not too difficult. Definitely recommend this

Does not deliver Thunderbolt 3 performance
The case is extremely good quality and easy to open and fit the ssd. The problem is the performance, read and write speeds are low compared to other devices. I am returning this and buying one where a verified purchaser has a screen shot of read write performance. It is a real shame as the case is a work of art.
