How do you open the circle on the display stand to secure the scepter on yhe stand?

It’s really tough! I had to pull gently on each side where the latch closes and wiggle it a bit to get it to pop. I was really careful not to break it. Once open, I haven’t fully closed it while on display. Not sure if that makes much sense, but I hope it helps somewhat!
