Rubbermaid 2118315 Brilliance Glass Storage 8-Cup Food Containers with Lids, 2-Pack (4 Pieces Total), BPA Free and Leak Proof, Large, Clear

We are pretty fussy and these containers are great quality. They seal well and yes the lids are a bit tight to start off with but hey better than leaking yeah. We bought a large kit with 2 large containers,medium, small and the smaller size that are good for nuts or say protein powder to take with you to work. I use the size pictured for 70gm of home made oat mix with yogurt & blueberries, works perfect. These containers wash up well and are very durable.

Over the years, like most, probably, I have accumulated all sorts of glass containers with "butterfly" closures, but after some use, either the closing tab broke off, or the it was close to impossible to open. Time to give them away. No more hurting your fingers, or applying too much force in order to close or open a lid. With these new Brilliance containers, opening and closing work well, be that for the glass version or for the "plastic" version (not sure what the material is). All of the Brilliance have many sizes that stack very well together (small fits on top of large, etc.). Personally, I use the "plastic" version for pantry, snacks, etc., and the glass ones, for storing left-over food, or for freezer. Yes, buying lots of them can be expensive (don't have to buy all at once), but they seem so well made, they keep your pantry organized, and surely, will last a very long time. All, including lids are dishwasher safe. To me, these are a great purchase!

I love the fact that you can put it in the oven, microwave, the refrigerator or the freezer. Obviously you don’t go from the fridge or freezer directly into the oven. You need to let the container warm up. The lid seals great I’m so happy with it I actually bought two more sets of various sizes. When storing the containers actually fit into themselves. I’m using a 4.7, 3.2, and 2 quart container and they do fit nicely so easy store. It’s very easy to clean up and it’s also dishwasher safe. When putting in the dishwasher put the lid on the top shelf to prevent any damage, I learned the hard way from my mistake.I’d highly recommend these.

I'm really happy to have found this Rubbermaid storage containers. I have all the other sizes but they obviously can't go in the oven. Making batch lasagna or moussaka to freeze then bake, easy to store then to put in the dishwasher - I'll be ordering a few more and replacing my Pyrex containers.
