GREAT Add-On Screens! I Bought Two of the Touchscreen Models
I bought TWO - the first for an Apple MacBook Pro (M1); the second for an ASUS ZenBook Windows 10 computer. 1. The Apple connection was easy - NOTE: you should plug the ViewSonic into a power source, then connect the ViewSonic to the MacBook Pro (M1). That way, the ViewSonic provides the sole power (initially to the ViewSonic and then through the USB-C PD cable to the MBP-M1 (make SURE you get a cable rated for 65W or above (I use a 100W cable and things work as expected)). Connecting this way is important as if frees up the second USB-C port on the MBP-1A for anything else you want to connect (I have a USB-C hub and four hard drives connected (this all at the same time as the ViewSonic is connected)). 2. The ASUS took a bit more finagling - however, if you set the resolution correctly for the Mouse Screen, you can actually have all three screen available (ViewSonic, ASUS laptop screen and Mouse screen) at the same time. I have all my ViewSonic's positioned "above" my laptop screens. 3. It is important to understand the screens are set to 50% on all settings when right out of the box. This initially makes the screen look washed out. HOWEVER - by simply access the built-in ViewSonic adjustment menu (available by pushing the button on the back of the screen), you can increase both the brightness and contrast to mimic your portable screen (if necessary). These two screens are awesome on the road - they are thin but sturdy and pack/travel well, easy to set up, and the touch screen works as advertised with the appropriate drivers downloaded and installed. I've even used them with an iPad Pro - and as with all things connected to an Apple computer - they simply work! Can you tell I really enjoy the versatility these monitor/screen give me?

Works very well as it advertises. We like it very much.
I just bought on On Thanksgiving. I received it on 11/29. I have being using it since then. It works very well as it advertises on Amazon. Great quality. Sharp display and color is very nice to us. 10 points screen gesture works for computer very well, but not for cell phone 15. It has 2 speaker. OK sound quality. But, this helps lot when we connect it to our Iphone 15.

Simple, solid, good quality extra monitor.
I wasn't expecting much for the price - I just wanted an extra monitor to sit on my desk for extra screen real estate, nothing special. But I have been thoroughly pleased with this! I work in a somewhat bright, sun-lit room and the monitor's brightness is more than sufficient. Even at 1080, the screen is very clear. And the bezel is quite narrow (except for the bottom, which matters less). The construction is also very nice - no plastic - and its pop-out stand is very sturdy and can rest at a pretty low angle. Finally, the touch is quite precise, and I don't find myself needing the stylus. Overall, really great value. I am not counting off points for this because for my use - and at this price level - it does matter, but color accuracy is fairly "meh." But that doesn't effect my work one bit. (BTW, my picture has the screen with night mode / redshift turned on - it is not that warm by default).

Good but VERY finicky
It's a nice monitor and I've purchased two (one for home and one for office), but it's taken me months to get them functioning consistently with my Dell XPS laptop. The problem has been that when I connect the monitor to the computer using a cable other than the one one that comes with the monitor, I've received a "no signal" message. The IT guys at our firm were also stumped (after doing a log of testing, checking and research) and suggested trying different USB C cables. After trying every USB C to USB C cable I could find, the ONLY way I've gotten the monitor to work (with a cable other than the cable that comes with the monitor) is by using a Xaosun 100W USB40 Gbps cable. I had to connect the cable to the USB C port on the right side of my computer with the Xaosun logo facing up, plug the L shaped USB C plug into the monitor and connect the power adapter through the computer's left-side USB C port. No other combination of cords or plugging in works. If you're having trouble using this monitor with the cable that came with it, trying reorienting the USB C plug into your computer and try using a different port. Posting this to save future purchasers all the trouble I've been through. Bottom line: It works well ... when it works. My suggestion to ViewSonic is to provide better guidance in the operating instructions about minimum specs for the USB C cord.

Used for video games - N. Switch (primarily)
Note: I have NOT tried out the touch-screen functionality of the unit, nor have I tried it with multiple devices. So this review is based solely on my one intended use - video games. My life is very busy so I do not have the hours of time to invest in video games as I did when I was a younger man. My favorite console is the N. Switch, which I usually play in the evenings while watching TV in the background. As I’ve reached middle-age, my eyes aren’t what they used to be and I do wish the Switch’s screen was bigger and this is the solution I decided upon. There were cheaper alternatives from Chinese-branded companies but I wanted to stick with a brand I know and trusted (even though it was probably made there as well). The build quality is very good and the unit is solid. The menu has many visual adjustment options so I’m quite certain you’ll be able to optimize the view for your desired needs. It has built-in stereo speakers in the rear but I use always headphones. Btw, the headphone amplifier is much more powerful than the Switch’s. Note: This unit will NOT function as a touch-screen for the Switch but it is supposed to do so for PC. I’ve not tried it for an iPhone but there are adapters that will allow you to output the video of the iPhone/iPad to an external device so that might prove an interesting possibility! The device can be rotated 90* for a Portrait setup vs Landscape but again, that would be controlled by your PC, meaning, if I rotate the unit, it will not auto-rotate the source material like a smart phone will. It includes a magnetically-attached protective cover and the built-in “kickstand” is solid, very adjustable and highly functional. This is one of those purchases that made me say, “Oh man! I should have done this long ago!” It requires power. It does not have an internal battery. A USB-C adapter is included. It can also be powered by the video source (PC, phone, etc.) but that source must be able to provide a certain amount of watts, otherwise, the Display will lower the Brightness level to minimum. Negatives? The only two I can think of is that the menu structure, while well laid out, will take you a little time to get used to, and around the area of the menu button (bottom-right behind the screen) may cause an uneven backlighting effect due to the pressure involved in frequently accessing the menu - volume control for instance. However, 99% of the time, we never focus on an extreme corner of a display so even if it does develop an uneven lighting there, it will prove mostly unimportant in normal use. In short, if you think this might prove useful/helpful to you, I do not believe you’ll be disappointed and you may be VERY happy with this purchase as I am!

AVOID This Monitor! Absolutely avoid this Seller
I purchased this monitor in mid-December 2021 anticipating a need I would have in January 2022. It seemed to be a great little monitor that worked well when I plugged it in. The touch screen feature was fantastic and the ease of connection to my laptop was a bonus. Because my anticipated need changed I ended up only using the monitor only about 5 times between January 2022 and April 2024. Suddenly it would not connect. It constantly said "no signal" and would immediately disconnect from my laptop. It was unusable. I purchased new cables hoping that would fix the problem and had no luck. So, after only 2 years...but really only about 5 or 6 uses (which makes the monitor essentially new) it no longer works. I contacted the seller to ask for some help and I received a cut-n-paste canned answer that the return window of 30 days closed. Basically I was told "not our problem, go away". I did not exactly expect a full refund or replacement, but they didn’t even offer a link to the owners manual, a 20% discount if I purchased another one, or do anything helpful. This is $300 completely wasted. Even if I used the monitor daily it should last longer than 2 years!

Flight Simulator Touchscreens
I purchased 2 screens for a flight simulator to be used with Air Manager. They worked perfectly out of the box. They work perfectly everytime I turn on my machine. They did cost double the price of the generic screens, but avoiding the hassle and headache was well worth it. I had previously purchased 2 "Prechen" generic screens and had to return them. They did not work as Advertised. I tried using 2 cables, 3 cables, new cables, adjusting windows settings, and graphic card settings. They failed miserably. The touch screen would only work sometimes, power would come and go, and resolution would change everytime I restarted the computer. I struggled with the generic screens for a week, but ultimately had to return them. If you are setting up a flight sim. You have already spent a fortune. Don't cut corners on your touch screens. If you read any of the YouTube comments or Community board discussions, nearly every topic is about someone struggling with thier WIMAXIT touchscreens. Don't waste your time.

Disappointed that No Touch-screen feature with iPhone 14 Pro
Bought this almost 2 yrs ago as an aid for my aging (92 yr old) mother. She liked using her Android phone for both texting & video calls, but had lost vision in 1 eye, and her hearing has been diminishing for years. We found that, by using a voice-to-text app on her Samsung phone and connecting to this monitor, she could see & read the words of conversations in larger text than on her phone screen. Since she was also in hospice care, it helped her understand the staff and caregivers there. It wasn't perfect, but much, much better than repeating things over and over and louder and louder. It worked well to meet our needs at the time, including the touch-screen feature. Mom has since passed but I still have the monitor. I myself have since switched from a Samsung phone to an iPhone 14 Pro. I've purchased the Apple Lightning-to-Digital AV adapter, (an approx. $ 50 accessory), and connected that to the iPhone and the monitor. While the monitor duplicates what appears on the iPhone screen, it does not respond to any touching, i.e. in order to do anything, I have to swipe or touch the phone; touching the monitor screen does absolutely nothing when it's attached to the iPhone 14 Pro. I've seen that updates have been made to some software (vTouch ?) that accommodates certain versions of MacOS, and those updates allow the touch-screen feature to work, but nothing for iPhones that use the lightning connector. (Supposedly newer iPhones that have USB-C instead of lightning connections work. I can't verify that, though others here seem to have). Bottom line: it helped meet our need with my mother, but only with her Android phone. Don't expect it to work with an iPhone that uses a lightning connection. That's been disappointing.

Plug-and-play

Could not get it working with just USB-C
I wanted a single USB-C cable to provide everything: power, video and touch. However, the only way I could get all three working with my Lenovo ThinkPad running Linux Mint was by connecting all 3 cables. I sent it back and will be purchasing Lenovos own portable display!
