They didn't have the exact same taste as to what I was used to as a kid, but that could be for a variety of reasons. An enjoyable sweet to play around with in your mouth, just remember not to chew on them too early or you'll damage your teeth! A great gift idea for Old Timers (pun intended). I keep them next to my desk and snack on them every now and again. Easy to reseal and they last a long time. You won't need to reorder them for a while, you'd have to have one every day for 3 months and you still might not finish the thing. The aftertaste is fairly pleasant, but not as impactful as to what I had when I was kid, again there could be plenty of reasons for this.
