Well Made Product
These are very well made. I wore them with a sturdy pair of tennis shoes and they stayed on tight. Sit down (on an outdoor chair-in the grass) when you are putting them on. Safer than on cement. I actually had fun tromping around my yard. Worked very well for aerating my St. Augustine grass and "?other grass?" in the back yard. Next usage will be wearing them when I walk behind a Scotts fertilizer and bug killer spreader. Take your time and think about what you have on your feet and you won't trip or fall down!

Was skeptical
I was unsure at first seeing as i’m a size 13, but they fit quite well, and do what its intended to do. Make sure you wear something with ankle support if you’re working near trees, the roots might make balance hard.

A little hard to get on
These were a little hard to figure out how to put on, but once you get it, they actually work quite well. On small areas these are ideal.

Confusing straps - but I got it to work
I had a difficult time adjusting the straps. The way they were on the shoes did not match the video. And the video did not show me what I needed to set them up properly. Very, very confusing and frustrating. You need two walking sticks with these. Even with those, I lost my balance, and one of them came off. I regretted this purchase until I came back to it a couple hours later and finally figured out the straps. Once I did that, I went out and aerated my front lawn using the two sticks for balance. It had been raining for hours, so the lawn was soggy and it was pretty easy. Plus, it made a nice show for the kids across the street... crazy lady marching across her lawn at night.

This product is easy to use and is well made.
I have a small yard and didn’t want to rent a roller aerator. When I saw this product online, I thought the cost was reasonable and felt it would be what I needed. The shoes are sturdy with securely attached spikes. The straps are wide and enable the shoes to be secured to my boots. I wear hiking boots that give my ankles support while using the shoes. The instructions provide for a man’s or woman’s use of the shoes. The straps can be positioned for either person’s use. When using this product, I would recommend you start walking slowly so you can get the feel of the spikes sinking into the ground and the effort needed to pull the spikes out of the ground for your next step. Make sure you have fully lifted your back foot each time you move forward and while changing directions. The soil can hold onto the spikes and you may want to move forward but your back foot is still in the ground. The spikes are a good size and I expect them to last a long time. I’m very happy with this product and recommend it.

Does good for what it does. Quite satisfied
These aerator shoes meet all my expectations. They punch small holes in the dirt. That's about it. They will not replace a mechanical aerator if your soil is heavy - such as clay. Mine is sandy and the spikes make nice small holes to allow nutrients and water to get in more easily. I have noticed that where I have thin grass and spend additional time in those areas, the grass is spreading more quickly into the areas. Just what I wanted. Don't expect the results of an annual aeration costing $100+, but you should see decent results of your efforts. I have gone over my yard (4000 sq ft) twice. The first time I covered all of it. Not just walking, but taking small steps and covering all areas pretty thoroughly. The second time, a month later, I just hit the areas that had thin grass spots. I am seeing improvements. They take a little getting used to, but if you have reasonable balance, you can walk in them without too much trouble. Not like a simple stroll, but paying attention, you can get it done. They are a bit tricky, but very usable. Pick your feet up and down straight, don't be sloppy. The spikes will catch if you don't pay attention and your balance will be tested. The first couple minutes where "interesting", but after that I got in the groove and things went smoothly.Negative articles on these type of shoes say they really don't aerate well. Probably true with heavy soils that are compacted. These will not replace the coring process if that's really needed, but with looser soil, they can make a difference. I would buy again, but probably won't have to as these seem to be well made. The straps with velcro seem to hold well if kept tight. If they loosen a bit, be sure to readjust or your balance will definitely be affected.

Was so much fun!
So “fun” may not be an ideal word that many would use to describe; however, I had a blast! :)Am female, size 6 shoe size, yet these still fit pretty well! A little big and yes, I agree with some of the other reviews that the straps are a bit confusing. To avoid my natural clumsiness, initially strapped my sneakers in first to better understand the right way to get them strapped. Worked perfect! They are easy to stand up in and maneuver through the yard. Although my 77lb Husky was a little spooked by Mama’s new “spiky shoes”!Really had fun, good exercise, did not feel like a chore at all, and my muscles were not bothering me afterward at all!I do highly recommend! Anyone can use these, just go in with a positive mindset and is actually less labor intensive, and more fun!

Does what it should. Easy to use.
It does what it is supposed to and was easy to use. Put on some heavy duty boots, took a walk on the grass. Now I can do it once every Spring and Fall with ease.

No prácticas
Son fasil de colocar, pero al pisar y caminar sobre el pasto, cuesta trabajo. En algunos tramos se desprendía el pasto. No me gustaron

Funny
Funniest thing ever was watching my husband use them! But seriously, a good idea to air rate some zones.
