Good, practical item

Used them for our Christmas pudding, kept there colour but the lids to much tighter

Only used one piece so far, good

First time using it for a christmas pudding in the microwave. No more boiling for hours. Less than an hour. Brilliant.

Good sizes

These are a good set of bowls.Mine we’re all scratched as foolishly beat eggs using a metal whisk in my older ones.Old ones now replaced by new. The lids are quite stiff once on but are much better than poor fitting lids.Recommended if you have dexterity problems.

These pudding basins come in two useful sets of three - Grande (1.5, 2 and 3 pint) and Petite (smaller sizes). They all have lids and can be useful as storage in the fridge but also for the more traditional use of making steamed puddings - either in the microwave or on the hob. They also come in many different colours although I like the transparent ones.They are great value for money.

My 3 pudding basins just arrived and the lid on the largest one is broken, see photos, the flap to lift the lid was loose inside the cling film wrap. It was well packaged by Amazon so it's obviously very flimsy and probably broken before being sent. Also, as other reviewers have said the lid doesn't fit properly on the largest one. The recipe that comes with it actually says to "Wrap the basin tightly in foil, so no water can get in"!! So they are obviously aware that the the lid on the large basin isn't tight but they still sell it.Just an aside, the recipe that is with it is also bad as it says about the sauce ingredients but the list of ingredients doesn't tell you which they are, see photo.For a company that calls itself "Just Pudding Basins" you would think they could at the very least write a recipe!Very poor value for money. I'm afraid I'm too busy to get to the post office to return, and as the large one with the broken lid needs to be tightly wrapped there's little point anyway as it probably doesn't make much difference that it's broken.Since writing this review I had an unsolicited parcel, the company sent me a new large bowl, not only wasn't it damaged but the lid clicked on nicely. Wow, what a surprising bit of total unexpected service. I appreciate it very much.
