These weren’t the most heavy duty but they worked well for an awning in good weather with a very heavy canvas tarp. They replaced some telescoping poles I had bought from another seller that collapsed a bit. I really liked the silicone caps. I bought two sets. Really think they will work in mild weather and hope they will work in high winds. I’m not sure they’re heavy enough though. Very packable and light to carry.

Used these poles for a tarp when hunting on the Arctic North Slope in Alaska. Survived a snowstorm and two wind storms. Very happy with their performance.

The poles themselves worked well. Handled about 10 mph winds. Easy to assemble. Fairly compact and lightweight. The storage bag however fell apart almost immediately. Not a big thing as I will just re-sew it. But for it to come apart almost right out of the shipping box is pretty bad. Overall I am good with the purchase.

These claim to be “high durablility” and “sturdy” but I just got back to my campsite to find both poles bent and broken. It’s a clear sunny day and theres no weather advisory, the wind is 9-11mph with some occasional 20mph gusts. Yet these things folded like a house of cards. Had them for just over a month, 3rd camp with these and now I’m shopping for replacements. I wish the poles my awning came with were this high, because those are sturdy AF, and withstand 70mph wind gusts, hell the reinforced canvas will (and has) tear before those would even bend a fraction of an inch. These aren’t much better than crappy aluminum poles, can’t say I recommend these but it’s hard to find poles worth a damn that can match or exceed the height of my White Duck Avalon bell tent a-frame poles which is 6’ UPDATE: The one pole I salvaged from the junk just bent and broke in a very light 20mph gust, I was there when it happened and had a hard time processing how such a mild gust could bend and break it. I had ordered a replacement set thinking that maybe they had broke in a freak high speed gust. Nope. Just a normal gust in a tiny bit of weather. I’m now forced to spend $50 in gas and 4hrs driving to get my reliable sturdy poles that have withstood 70mph+ gusts out of storage and send the replacement poles I had ordered back for a refund I strongly advise NOT TO BUY. These are not fit to purpose, will break in even the slightest gust and are cheap junk created and marketed exclusively TO RIP YOU OFF

I bought these poles to make a sun cover while front country camping last year. I used these for 8 weekend trips over the summer. Pictured is a set up I had last summer where I added some solar powered fairy lights for fun. TLDR, these are great for a person who doesn't mind extra set up for more versatility in shelter making. Though I'm not a pro at setting up tarp shelters, these always did a great job of holding up the tarp. They are solidly built and fold together neatly. They are over 6 ft tall, and light. The little cover at the tip helps with making sure the tarp stayed attached to the poles. I also find that the base stays very firm on the ground. I like these because tarp and poles are compact in my camping kit. They are versatile to different situations and can be set up a variety of ways. I like to pack prepared but light when it comes to camping, and these fit the bill for me perfectly.
