They have the same usable length because the length of the Rösle includes the hanging loop. The Winco and Rösle tongs are comparable in strength as they use the same thickness of stainless steel. However, the Rösle tongs are more comfortable to hold, and they have a lock to keep them closed. The main downside of the Winco UT-16HT tongs is that they don't have a lock to keep them closed. Winco makes the "heavy duty" UTLK-16 with a lock, but they are not even close to the strength of the "extra heavyweight" UT-16HT.
