Can this be used in washing machine for human urine odor removal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can use our product in the laundry for clothes and bedding. Spray the affected area and let sit for 30 minutes, then wash as usual. If you aren’t sure where the affected areas are, you can use about a cup of our product in the load and pre-soak for about 30 minutes in warm (room temperature) water, then wash as usual.

Can this be used in a Bissell portable carpet cleaner?

Accepted Answer

Many of our customers have used our product in a carpet cleaner machine and have had good success. You can put a couple ounces of our product to every gallon or two of warm water in the machine.

However, it's still better to pre-treat the problem areas, let it sit overnight if possible, then shampoo as normal the following day. The key is for the product to come in contact with the urine and then given time to work. Using it in the shampooer just puts it down and sucks it right back up. That doesn't allow it to go deep enough into the carpet (and pad), nor allow it the time it needs to break down and digest the urine crystals.

how do you use it to clean tiles?

Many of our customers have had success using our product on tile and grout. You can spray or pour it on and leave it. Let it work its way down into the material, as urine would, to get down and eliminate it. If there is a little bit of a film or residue (from the mild soaps) after it dries, you can simply wipe/mop it up with warm water.

Question 4

Can this be added to mop water to clean large area? Should it be put on full strength or added to mop water?

Accepted Answer

It's best to spot treat the troubled areas and give the enzymes and beneficial bacteria plenty of time to go to work then wipe it up. But many of our customers have had success moping their entire floor. We recommend adding 3 cups of Stain & Odor Eliminator to every gallon of room temperature or cold mop water.
