Superior Pump 91016 Thermoplastic Oil-free Utility Pump, 1/6 HP, Black

I use this pump to flush my tankless gas water heater. It is perfect hp. Just sit in a 5 gallon bucket with hoses going from pump to heater and from heater to bucket for recirc. Perfect flow to remove the scale. Strong housing and cord protection

This worked well for flushing/descaling my Navien tankless water heater. 1/6 HP is plenty, and I've been warned against going any higher. It is compatible with 3/4" washing machine hoses, which is what I used to connect it to my water heater's maintenance ports. My only complaint is that it's not clear from the instructions how deeply this can be submerged. I'm not sure if the hole where the power cord enters the housing is water tight. It's not a big deal, but I wish the instructions answered this.

Purchased this Superior Pump utility pump to empty out our kiddie pool, was tired of standing on the edge of the pool to drain. Pump works great and I liked that it came with a garden hose adapter. Pump is quiet, easy to use and made draining the pool so much faster, great pump.

Pump had a lot a pressure at first, After a few weeks, the pressure dropped even being inside a 5 gal. bucket with filter material. The water is still clear. I'll take it apart and check the filter material, but I think it's that the pump is gradually getting weaker.

Nice pump for flushing on demand hot water heater (Rinnai model). Worked perfectly for circulating 4 gallons of 5% vinegar through the water heater for an hour.

So far I am very pleased with this unit. I plugged it in the first time today on my flat roof and it worked fine. Pretty quiet, but you can hear it running. If I had it to do over again I would have bought the model with the slightly bigger motor.

Bought the pump for a very specific task and it performed very well. I used it to flush the coils inside of my tankless water heater. I'll use it again in a year, but it's already paid for itself in professional service fees.

I purchased this to drain my hot tub twice a year. a 300 gallon hot tub will take about 2 1/2 hours to empty. This is a quiet pump, and will work down to about 1/2 inch of water. Well made, I'd buy it again.
