This is seriously the best pill cutter ever. It cuts perfect halves, every time. I used to use the cheap ones and even if I lined them up correctly, they would split the pills unevenly and/or leave me with a bunch of crumbs. That is not an issue with this one at all. It is very easy to use and absolutely worth the price. 10/10, would highly recommend.

Works great. Used to cut some hard thick tablets, that a old single blade cutter I have would only crush. This Two blade cutter gave me a perfect clean cut. Awesome unit!

Very pricey for what it is but works better than competitors costing way less. Putting and securing pill in cutter is not easy; lots of wiggle room. Sometimes pills crumble. Should cost must less for its construction and material.

After purchasing 2 others, I bought this one and love it! I works great. It doesn’t crush and centers you pill and cuts in half perfectly!

I have spent over $80 on pill cutters in the last 6 months and they were all garbage. The Equa Dose pill cutter is by far the best one I have found that will cut the pill in half almost perfectly. When your taking pain medication and your pill cutter cuts the pill into 60/40 size pieces it really sucks. This cutter has dual blades top and bottom. Clear top so you can see if the pill moved before you chop. Simple to use with good design.

This is the most accurate pill cutter I have ever used! I have bought this pill cutter 3 times; 1 stays with my meds, 1 stays overnight bag, & 1 was a gift. I initially bought this to try and cut my cat's teeny tiny blood pressure pills into 1/4 pieces. I went through nearly a dozen different pill cutters before I tried this one. It cut her meds into 1/4's with minimal crumble. My vet even had me send them a link so they could use and recommend it. I currently have a med that practically crumbles into powder if you look at it scathingly. Not an issue for this pill cutter! It does the best split, with the least crumble, I think is possible for this pill. I feel confident that I'm actually getting half a dose, as opposed to slightly less or more How I use the pill cutter after having spent time playing around with what works best: *With adjustable Blue V facing away from me. 1) Placing and securing the pill's placement: - Nestle the pill into the Fixed White V in the Base. *Don't push down when situating the pill; push into the Fixed White V, parallel to the ground/Base. - Then, I slightly tilt the Base towards me to let gravity help the pill settle better. - Sometimes gently jostling it a little to help the pill align the way I want. - While the Base is still tilted, I softly push the Adjustable Blue V until it meets the pill. Then, I give it a little extra gentle, but firm push to make sure the pill is secure. 2) Cutting the pill: - Place the Base on a flat surface. - Double check pill is aligned securely. - Holding the Lid/ Upper Blade with 2 hands, one on either side, gently and evenly place it onto the Base without any pressure - just until the Upper Blade barely rests on top of the pill. - With both hands, one each side of the Lid/ Upper Blade, press down evenly and firmly. - Voila! Remember to clean, or at least wipe off, your blades in between each cut (it does actually make difference).

This pill cutter is no better than the ones that sell for $8 at CVS. I have not found a way to make it split very small pills evenly. The holder is just a bit too big to hold very small pills (feline mini-tabs) firmly, so it's difficult to center them. If you try to cut quickly, which I did on my first try to avoid crushing the pill, your split will be so uneven that you'll have to throw away the dose. The plastic parts have a bit too much play to cut precisely and repeatably, so even if you center carefully and try to cut slowly, as I did on my second try, you'll still get an uneven split, more like 60/40 than 50/50. So, good idea, imprecise execution, cheap construction, ultimately disappointing at this price.

My wife needs to split a tiny, crumbly, 6 mm tablet to get the correct dose of her daily medication. When we ask the Pharmacy to split them, they become a fragmented mess. I tried doing it myself using a cheap splitter gadget , and also with a pair of scissors, both of which worked but with a high fragmentation rate and uneven split. I just split a bottle of 45 tablets with this splitter and I didn't have a reject in the lot. They were split cleanly and accurately with only a handful of insignificant crumbs. This is not cheap, but it really does work!

I bought this pill cutter, because my cat has been prescribed Gabapentin, and if you’ve EVER tried to ‘cut’ a Gabapentin Tablet evenly ‘in half’, you will know how almost IMPOSSIBLE it is to do, without it shattering into small pieces! I was tearing my hair out trying to cut these tablets! So I went searching for some sort of ‘alternative’ way to cut my cats Gabapentin Tablets, and I came across THIS WONDERFUL PILL CUTTER! Although initially I have to admit that I did have to think twice before actually purchasing it, because it is quite expensive, I was SO desperate, I thought I’d give it a go! And I am SO glad I did! It works slightly differently from most other pill cutters, because instead of using the standard ’single’ blade, this little pill cutter has TWO BLADES, one on the top blue cover, and another one that comes up from underneath the white bottom. The interior has a ‘guide’ that holds the pill securely in place, preventing it from sliding around whilst you cut it, and the ‘platform’ that you place the pill onto, is ‘floating’ on some sort of a ‘sprung mechanism’, so that when you push down on the blue cover, that contains the first blade, at the same time, the second blade comes up from the bottom, underneath the pill, so then cutting the pill with TWO blades instead of a single blade! A basic, simple concept, but it actually WORKS! I found that the most successful way to use this pill cutter, was to use both hands, and then push down on either side of the cutter, evenly, using the base of my thumbs (see photo 1). It managed to make light work in cutting all of my Tablets, which are less prone to shattering (see photo 2), but it did also manage to successfully cut my cat’s Gabapentin as well, upon ‘most’ attempts, but that wasn’t the fault of this pill cutter, the fault, as I’ve said, lies in the type of tablets that my cat is currently taking. So, to sum up, yes, it IS on the pricey side, but if you have to cut medication Tablets on a regular basis, the time and stress that this pill cutter will save you, makes it definitely WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD!

Fait le job , cependant pour les petits cachets, c’est vraiment très compliqué de les positionner correctement et de couper en 2 pieds en quatre. Et le coupe de pilule est vraiment très cher, mais c’est vrai qu’il fait très peu de miettes. Si on appuie assez fort pour couper en une seule fois.

As a working professional who needed to cut thousands of pills a week, this cutter serves very well for me. 1. It cuts accurately, and you can SEE what you are cutting. 2. There are some pills that are too small to be held in place, but as long as you cut it on a flat table there is no issues cutting it anyway. 3. there is much less breakage than other cutters 4. You can cut a large oblong tablet into quarters crosswise, not possible for other cutters. 5. Durable, every part serves its purpose and is easy to clean.
