From the moment I unboxed the candle, I could smell the rose scent, and it's heavenly. It's so gentle and velvety, like the softest rose petals. The wood note is so subtle that I can't really detect it; it's only there to softens the rose so the rose isn't soapy harsh punch-in-your-face. But that's fine by me. When I burn the candle, the rose scent remains a gentle calming waft that fills the room. I'm placing the candle in the middle of our largest open room, and the scent has no problem filling up the entire room without being headache-inducing. I keep finding myself perking up to breathe in deeply that subtle rose scent.This is now my favorite brand and my favorite candle. If I have any complaint at all (and I don't, not really), it is that I can't find the candle scent written anywhere on the candle jar or box. But that's such an unimportant miniscule aspect compared to everything right about this candle.
