This may require some intermediate DIY skills
I've had this door lock fitted for a few months now. I decided to wait to review the lock until we had a good use of its features. Firstly, the fitting of the unit can be really simple or really awkward depending on the type of door you have, and the handle you're swapping out. We have a Coldseal uPVC door with multipoint locks and reinforced steel panelling. This lock is similar in design to the original door handle but not similar enough to avoid considerable effort and time to fit. Due to the nature of our specific door, there was some drilling of new holes required to feed the cable for connection to the battery side and and retaining bolts through to the outside unit. Given there is a steel plate for reinforcement of our door that is not designed to be easily drilled, this took some time to ensure the door was not totally ruined whilst penetrating the steel shielding. The manufacturers state in their instruction material that it is not compatible with multipoint locking mechanisms. Well, as it happens I was able to make this work without swapping out the original catch and locking parts. The power cable was a little fiddly to feed through the door and connect but with some patience and perseverance I successfully managed to get everything connected up and working. We have a fully functional multipoint locking door using this lock but you may not be so lucky. As this was not a perfect fit from the original handle, I was left with a 1 inch semicircular hole underneath the handle which needed to be filled. You can get uPVC panel repair kits that are like a putty to use and harden to a solid plastic state. After receiving delivery of the repair kit I was able to sort this out and the door is now gap-free and as secure as it was before fitting. I go through this little story to demonstrate that the replacement process might not be as straight forward as you might think. It all depends on the age and style of your existing door. The best scenario is to fit to a brand new door that has not been cut to suit a previous fitting, but most people I'm sure will be wanting to retrofit. Before you order, be prepared to either undertake some serious DIY or pay a qualified tradesman. The lock itself is great. I have invested in a remote gateway and have full access to lock and unlock the door wherever I am. The internal storage of the unit deals with the registration of up to 200 users (there's only 3 of us) and you can access by either RFID card, fingerprint, numeric code or phone app. No personal biometrics are shared outside of the individual locks internal storage. The phone app is pretty basic but easy enough to use. Generic RFID cards work with this lock so you can produce new "Keys" for around 20p each if you shop around for the correct frequency of card (13.56MHZ cards required). The fingerprint reader is a pain if you have wet hands so it's best to have a card as a backup just in case. I installed Duracell Optimum batteries into the lock and we are currently at 65% battery power after 7 months of general use. You do get 2 rather specific manual keys should the batteries die and there is a micro-USB socket behind the protective plate to power the lock temporarily to gain access (you cannot use this for full-time powering the lock). I'm happy with the lock and it has provided a new level of convenience for us. It is secure and operates similar to hotel room locking mechanisms by mechanically separating the handle from the catch and mortice locking mechanisms. The unit is good quality with solid metal components and has survived recent bad weather. Just make considerations to the installation effort or costs required to avoid disappointment.

Easier than I expected
There are so many smart locks available it took a while to read the reviews and watch all the YouTube videos. I felt confident choosing the Ruveno and when it arrived I was happy I'd made the right choice. The lock feels very solid and likely to last under constant daily use. The fixtures and fittings supplied are all stainless steel and of good quality. I fitted the lock to a solid wooden door and had no trouble at all. The instructions are basic but adequate. The printed template is very precise and easily locates the holes that need to be drilled. Once fitted to the door it was quick and easy to install the App and connect to the lock. Adding pass codes to unlock the door is very quick and simple. The RFID cards are just as easy to pair. The lock has been inconstant use for a few weeks now and has proved to be 100% reliable. I have been pleasantly surprised how much easier it is to open the door with a wave of an RFID card compared to using a bunch of keys, my life already seems simpler yet more secure. I definitely made the right choice and I will be happy fitting Ruveno locks for my neighbours in the near future.

Brilliant Product. Just dont run out of AAA batteries.
One of my best purchases from Amazon. Its been in use now for almost 2 years without fault. So useful. I dont need to rember to take keys when i go out. I dont need to remeber to lock the front door at night, as it defualts to locked when the door is closed. The only downside is, Since i connected it to the internet via the optional hub it really goes through batteries fast. One set of 4 new AAA batteries lasts 2 - 3 weeks. Really would be much better with a rechargeable high capacity li-ion battery. The fingerprint reader is hit-n-miss, especially if raining. I bought some RFID sticky dots on ebay which the lock recognises and can be paired. The kids have one stuck on their phone and school bag so they can open the door if it fails. I also gave the lad who feeds our cat an RFID sticker so he can open the door when we are away. I can turn on/off his tag access in the app, so it only works when i decide. This really is a great lock. It took a little engineering to make it fit my composite door. Just a shame about the battery issue, otheriwse it would be 5 stars.

Careful. Lots of missing information here.
Ok, so the product description confuses you by saying it’s not designed for multi-lock doors but also saying it is. It’s fine. It works and you don’t need to use their own lock that it comes with. I fitted to an existing PVC door that had a Yale smart lock that failed. Fitting this one was a hassle. The cable that connects the two sides is wrapped around a screw slot which means it’s always in the way of the sliding screw adjustment. So you have to remove a back plate to move the cable so it’s out of the way. This is not explained and the install video shows it already moved. I had to drill one hole, and fill in the others that were no longer used which is fine as this was shorter. The fingerprint reader is not very reliable. Works 70% of the time so register as many fingers as you can. The touch input for passcode is slow to activate sometimes. You have to press for it to light up to then input. I can get / don’t understand how I can get a digital key working. My understanding was I could tap my phone or just be present and it’ll open etc. not explained. There’s zero explanation on how to remove the panel that handles the manual key and usb etc. It’s a great replacement for something like Yale but lacking with instructions and assistance on how to make it all work.

This is a great quality product which is well supported by a great app.
I really like the design, feel and finish of the excellent smart lock. For me the fingerprint reader doesn't always read correctly but it helps to rub your finger either on the wall or on you forehead to make it more "readable". Lots of alternative ways to open the lock and I've never failed to get in. This is a great quality product which is well supported by a great app. The Ruveno replaced my Yale Conexis 1 which was just awful by comparison (I've binned that one). I like the fact that I can open the door from my Apple Watch or phone and I've bought some spare extra tags. The construction is great quality and it was very easy to install with a bit of door drilling and fettling. I'm confident that his is a secure product

This replaced an existing Yale Keygree Connected lock
Compared to a Yale Keyfree Connected, the lower screw hole is in exatly the right position, and the upper screw hole is adjustable by a slider. My door was a standard UPVC door. The instructions warn that the handle only turns 45 degrees. THis should always be enough if you're willing to adjust the hinges etc so 45 degrees clears the last bolt (the standard bolt if it does not retract perfectly all the way). One side of the adjustable bolt goes into a threaded cylinder, then there is a similar slider on the other side, not clear what that is for as a tapered scrw head into that slider may not be strong enough, so I put a larger nut onto that bolt to hold that slot. In other words, be prepared to improvis just a little bit here and there. I had to cut the two long screws each about 1/2 inch shorter for my door and I ued the longer square spindle, again cut it down by 1/2 inch with a hacksaw. Once a hole is drilled for the cable it isn't clear where the cable and connector should lie. Rather than drill or chisel out a place for them, I unscrewed the sheet metal back of the inner mechanism and stuffe the cable and connector through the hole, making sure it lays in a harmless place then put the sheet metal back. These are all EASY LITTLE things that anyone can do and WILL DEFINITELY WORK.

Not stable
The lock works as expected, but the design has a major weakness. It is secured by only one long fixing screw at the bottom, with no screw to secure the top. As a result, when the door handle is pulled with even moderate force, the top of the smart lock separates slightly from the door. Use caution before purchasing. While it functions normally under regular use, the mounting design provides limited structural support. If the lock is subjected to forceful pulling or an attempted break-in, the upper part may not be able to withstand the force.

Add a little fashion element to your life
When I lost my key again I was looking for a solution. This is a very smart lock It looks simple and stylish. When you hold it in your hand you can feel its weight and feel that the quality is very good I feel very safe and reliable. It is powered by batteries and uses low power so you don’t have to worry about frequent replacement of batteries. The LCD screen provides password unlocking the touch response is very sensitive and the display is clear at night. the application also has a guest sharing function it is so friendly. It is equipped with three electronic sensor keys and 2 keys. What I like most is the fingerprint unlocking function even if there is water on your fingers it will not be affected. You can quickly go home with just a light touch. Recognizing fingerprints to open the door is a relief for people like me who have to look for keys everywhere every day. It is recommended that you need help during installation if DIY is not your strong point.
