WunderKeys Elementary Piano Lesson Book 2A

I love the Wunderkeys books and have been using their books in my studio for the last 6 years or so. But, the 2A book makes me smile every time I look at it. The scales and technique are a winner! And introducing improvisation is made easy. The songs are catchy and will make a child want to play the songs over and over. And what makes me know that every child can love using this book is the fact that there are also brown face characters throughout the book! Wow! I’ve been teaching 38 years and this is the first time I’ve seen a music book that is such a HIT in so many ways! Overall, a real WINNER!

Once again, the Dows deliver!! I'm using this book with 2 students right now and I absolutely love it. The rhythm work, technical exercises, left hand pattern practice, sight-reading practice, theory, improv activities and motivating repertoire are all on point. I love that my students get all of the above in just one book instead of having to purchase and juggle four or more books. Looking forward to moving more students into this book soon.

Wunderkeys is my favorite series for younger beginners and this book is a prime reason why. For kids who begin piano at 4-5, having a longer time before moving out of a 5 finger position and working in different keys BEFORE introducing full scales is helpful, and this is one of the only methods that does this. The variety of activities keeps interest high and the music sounds mature.I do wish that the storylines from the earlier books continued into level 2, and I eagerly await the expansion of the Wunderkeys VU into the late beginner stage.

I have been teaching piano lessons for about 20 years and pretty much always preferred piano adventures series.... until now. This series is a great alternative and has broadened my library for the better! I have many students who feel overwhelmed by the length and complexity of different pieces and this series has a lot of great one liners with duets that are fun and packed with teaching material!

These are great, my daughter enjoys them much more than her other book. She practices more often now because of how pretty the songs are!

The new level 2A WunderKeys book is right on par with the preschool, primer and level 1 books. Well written, user friendly, and my students are loving it! It’s progression from level 1B is logical and I can see how it is building that bridge from elementary playing to early Intermediate. The personalized support and FREE supplemental materials available for the WunderKeys materials is phenomenal. I highly recommend it!

All my students love the lap tap exercises and the duets! The illustrations are engaging and colorful. The layout of the dotted rhythms is genius and makes my job as a piano teacher easy. This is an AWESOME method book.

My students really enjoy the repertoire they get to play at this level. The new concepts are carefully introduced and practiced in a variety of ways. I highly recommend this method book for Level 2.

En el 2n nivell (aquest llibre "2A segueix els llibres 1A i 1B) s'introdueixen pentaescales en diferents tonalitats Sol, Re i La, en mode major i menor. Rítmicament introdueix la negra amb punt i la negra lligada a una corxera.Com en els llibres anteriors es treballa el ritme, la lectura, l'articulació, l'oïda i també la improvisació, amb una sonoritat més propia de la musica pop que de la música clàssica.

I discovered Wunderkeys a short while ago and have purchased all of the books. It is an amazing piano music curriculum for all ages and I could'nt wait for book 2 A to arrive. Just waiting on a student to reach this level. In the meantime I'm enjoying playing from it.

I’m gradually switching students over to Wunderkeys. They love the style of the pieces and the games, I love how technique, sight reading and gamification is combined into one book. All the games and activities can be adapted to online lessons with some creativity. The composers are responsive, in touch with what kids like and provide tons of free resources to go along with the books.

Another fantastic book by Andrea Dow, I love it, my students love it.
