These brackets are very solid and can hold a lot of lumber but if you are going into a block wall through an interior wall (2") as I did then the head size on the concrete anchors that are long enough (6" Titen HD), dont fit. I through bolted these to 2x4's and then bolted the 2 by's to solid down cells in the block wall and I am extremely happy with the result but it did require extra work

Actually pretty dang good. I needed a way to store lumber vertically. I may be exceeding the rated weight. I’m not sure. But installation was easy. Just find a stud and sink the four lag bolts for each vertical. I got 2 sets and they come with spacers to keep it all even. I was nervous about loading them up with all this black walnut. But it didn’t budge, even with the thicker slabs. All these boards are around 8-9ft long and they are very dense. I will probably get another set too. They don’t seem low quality in any way, they have a nice coating, secure mounting, and look great.

Love it, I have needed something like this for a very long time. Goes up quick, is plenty sturdy, and finally gives me somewhere to store long items (lumber, pipe, long tools, etc) without taking up floor space. The lag bolts included are perfectly fine (make sure to drill 1/8" pikot holes for easy installation), but I opted to use some 1/4" x 2 1/2" structural screws, mostly due to how the drywall in my 1980's home was hung (they used a glue, so the sheetrock stands off the studs up to a half inch). This was definitely worth getting instead of making my own.

I purchased the 16" Gray 5-Tier Heavy Duty Rack to install under an overhang outside my garage to organize scraps and off-cuts as well as some new lumber. The product was well-packaged and easy to install and assemble. I decided to install the racks on two 48" length 2x4s with the (very nice) included lag bolts. This made it easy to assemble the uprights and upright guides (spacers) exactly parallel to the 2x4s. I then pre-drilled pilot holes and countersink holes in the 2x4s to accommodate my own lag bolts to mount to the wall, parallel and at the same height to ensure the shelves would be level. No issues installing the arms with the spacing I wanted, and I appreciate the security provided by the locking pins. I also appreciate the rubber caps to put on the ends of the arms to avoid painful impacts with the thin metal, but there is no chance that these will stay in place with normal use through friction alone, so I put a bit of glue in each of them to install them permanently. The spacing between the uprights is about 42", which is the spacing of the 4x4 uprights where I installed the rack. Since I'm using this for shorter bits of wood, I built some shelves to span the distance. I was hoping to repurpose some spare OSB , but it was too thin to hold much weight without sagging, so doubled-up the OSB material for one shelf, and for the other shelves I cut up some 2x6s and put them side-by-side to make ~11" deep shelves. It's a bit overkill to use 2x6s hold scrap wood, but if I ever need to store heavier materials (or climb up them), I'm covered. In summary, I'm quite happy with this storage rack. The materials are good quality, installation was straight forward, the specifications exceed my needs, the aesthetics are fine, and the flexibility to adjust the height may be useful in the future. Price seems competitive with similar products online. This is my first purchase from Delta, but they seem like a solid company focused on a relatively small number of specialty products, and I get a good vibe from that.

These are some heavy duty timber racks! After searching for an age I came across these and bought 2 sets. I have to say, not only are they seriously strong for their size and price but they look nice while doing it! They come with little protective tips on each arm to stop you damaging what you are storing as well which is a nice touch.
