Tasteless and vet recommended
I haven’t had long enough with this product to be able to tell if it works. However, my cats vet recommended this for their mild gingivitis, one of my cats also has CKD. It supposedly helps to calm down gum inflammation slightly. Daily brushing is so important but this is a convenient aid if brushing is difficult or takes too much time. But nothing is going to fix gingivitis, except for a proper dental cleaning. it’s a little bit more runny than I thought, but it will soak into a Q-tip semi well. A little goes a long way, especially for cats, so the bottle should be good value. My cats are very sensitive to taste, I suppose they all are! and they really don’t mind whatever this gel is. It seems like it really is tasteless to them.

Highly recommend!!
This is great for helping to keep tartar at bay and to prevent build up. We use it daily on our two elderly gentlemen pugs and our vet is very impressed with how clean their teeth are.

Cat tolerates this formula
My cat has dental issues. My vet recommended rubbing her gums everyday to prolong her eventual teeth cleaning. She tolerates this formula and it is easy to apply.

Great product - I used it for many years on my cats.
My loves (2 senior cats) have both passed, but I used this on their teeth all their lives. Please Note - Cats don't like having their teeth cleaned. My cats were fairly mellow and I had this down to a science. In and out in a few minutes and done. If your cats are skittish and don't like being handled, it's going to be difficult for both of you. Try to get the cat when they're calm - I would sometimes do this when they were waking up from a nap - or put them on an ottoman or the kitchen counter against the wall. Their instinct is to back up. You'll have to turn them and switch fingers to get to the other side. You need to have the gel ready and plan each move ahead of time. This product is a little thicker gel than the standard Maxi Guard, but it still runs so you have to work fast. Get the gel and a napkin ready. Plan where you're going to have the cat - ahead of time. Put a pea sized amount on your finger and rub it along the gums - top, bottom and front. Right finger - left side of cat's mouth. Left finger - right side of cat's mouth. You'll have to wipe the excess off kitty's mouth and your finger, turn the cat, add gel to the next finger and repeat on the other side.

Great!
I haven’t personally tried it.. but my favorite family member seems to be okay with this product and she doesn’t care for many. So I give this a thumbs up!

Not sure it works
I don’t know, I don’t really see a difference. If your dog loves bones, get the antlers to naw on. They last a little bit, so worth it for their teeth. My 16 yr old pitty loved them and bully sticks. NEVER had teeth/gum issues. My other dog doesn’t like bones and his gums were red, I am now using organic coconut oil, unrefined in a jar. I put it on his gums and that is working. Plus he loves the taste. Good luck to you all.
