Delicious! I've never had moon cakes in the past, so I had no idea what to expect. However, these were very nice. Some flavors were much better than others, I preferred the unique flavors over the fruit flavors. Due to the outside dough, a lot of the flavors taste almost the same. Still a great experience, and I'd buy them again! Happy lunar new year!

Seeing as the price was relatively low compared to other moon cakes, I naively assumed the only sacrifice would be the size. However, the were absolutely terrible. So dry and barely any filling. I felt like I was biting into a stale cookie with and afterthought for a flavoring. It's my fault I didn't look at the reviews

Crust is firm and filling is well proportioned and flavorful!

These moon cakes are bite sized and decorated with beautiful characters on top. They are individually wrapped and in the box pictured. There are multiple flavors, maybe two of each. Some were incredibly fresh, (pineapple, cantaloupe and honey peach) with a soft bread like outside, and gummy jelly inside. Others came incredibly dry (strawberry & a few others) with an outside that crumbled and was very stale tasting and an inside that was tacky and gummy. I was so excited to discover the flavors and textures of the moon cake finally! I felt like the box had so many cakes in it and I was really excited. On account of flavor, I do have quite a terrible diet which includes not hydrating properly which can drastically change the way that you taste foods. So, for me, I found the moon cakes to be incredibly light in flavor on some days to the point that I couldn't taste them. Today, for example, I hydrated more and had a cantaloupe moon cake for a snack and I could taste cantaloupe and it was so light and refreshing! Take care of yourself folks. One of the strongest flavors in the box that I ordered was the BLACK SESAME SEED moon cake. I was horrified by the name and anticipated it to be one that was savory like meat. HOWEVER, I did enjoy it a lot and it was the strongest tasting ones. Black sesame one did have more going on than just jelly in the middle, I believe there were a few nuts. Unfortunately, the inconsistencies were a disappointment as I was unable to give a fair review on the tastes of the drier, staler, flavours. I'm excited about this introduction to moon cakes, but I won't be quickly ordering more because I risk buying the stale moon cakes that were not enjoyable to eat. None the less, I immensely appreciate these fine moon cakes-- they came a couple days before my birthday!! 🎉

We enjoyed these but found them to be a tad dry. Even the jelly in the middle wasn’t as smooth as we’d expect. Almost wonder if our box had been sitting for too long. These are also smaller than expected. Each moon cake is one to two bites. Have to eat several of them to feel meaningful. Best enjoyed with tea as coffee was too overpowering. The flavors were lighter. Product was meh - wouldn’t recommend but wouldn’t say it was so bad that I’d steer people away from it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I lived in Hong Kong for about 2 years and Shenzhen, Guangdong, China for over 7 years. I have eaten many varieties of mooncakes. These are not mooncakes. They are closer to the pineapple cakes from Taiwan (and other flavors) just in circular shape and much drier. Two brands selling identical product - they just swapped the labels. Don’t waste your money. Just order Taiwan pineapple cakes (and other flavors) from Taiwan. I have ordered another brand of mooncake. Hopefully they will be the real deal. I bought these to share Chinese customs with my friends and co-workers. These are not good enough to share and call mooncakes.

The biggest problem is that all the fillings are much too dry. The flavors assortment is a good one. But the moon cakes are so small that there’s really not enough to eat!!! Plus $30 is way too much for what you get. Not really worth the price.

These are small moon cakes about 1.5-2” across in diameter. They are perfectly sized for a simple tea cake or snack. So far we have tried peach, black sesame, and 5 kernels flavors and they have been absolutely delicious. If you have not tried a moon cake before, it’s kind of like a streusel crumble - pie crust with a dense sweet and chewy filling. My favorite flavor of moon cake is lotus seed, but the peach and 5 kernels flavors that I just tried with these are going to be top contenders. I recommend having them with a mild floral tea like chrysanthemum or chamomile if you don’t want caffeine and white or green tea would be great with the fruit flavor ones. The black sesame one would be great with a strong black tea since the flavor is much stronger.
