Easily installed. Blocks all light. Very affordable.
I have a half-round window that is 60 inches wide by 30 inches high. I bought two rolls of Velimax static cling black film. I was able to apply the first piece and trim it easily with a utility blade. The second roll was lined up with first and the edge was precise. The surface is tactile like a truck bed liner except it is very thin pliable. Now I have an excellent black-out window that can be easily pulled off if I want more light. The low price made me suspicious but the product is clearly high quality.

PERFECT
It completely blocks out any view inside and out while allowing a hint of notice that there is sun outside but very very faint. Easy instructions, I had my own squeegee and small little spray bottle. I have no bubbles and itโs held up while we showered, no peeling. Perfect for our bathroom window that now doesnโt require blinds or a curtain.

FOUND SOLUTION! for cars, autos, vans, campers black out for mobile office etc
UPDATE : So static clang is never going to be good enough for these applications but it helps. It certainly helps to align. It certainly helps to install. It's just that they won't stay in place! So there's a very very simple solution and I mean that literally! Just take a little sugar water honey diluted in water or molasses of any kind. Also diluted in water by about half or more and you can either spray the window using a sprayer or you can apply it with a brush just in areas where it's actually peeling! This works because it's naturally super sticky as you know from handling these jars for years- and it's also easy to remove with just plain water or a wet towel when the time comes. So if you've got a peeling corner just dab it on. You can use a paper towel, dab it on it or dab it on the back of the shade. So other than being a little too narrow and a little too overpriced for The wider roll, this is actually pretty good stuff for direct application to the inside of Windows in cars, Vans, and any other kind of camper! About. The only other thing I can say is that it needs to be longer and I think I did get shorted four feet by the time I got to the end of the roll. You may want to start by The roll before you start cutting ! I may have to return this even though it's cut into little pieces. It was I believe 4 ft short and I don't think it's going to last the month. As far as reusability goes for the purpose indicated. I'm going to give it another shot here. I'll try spraying the inside of the Windows in question with some soapy water to add some stick and if that does the trick then I'll be happy.

No more sun, cooler room
100% blackout film. My bedroom has a huge sliding glass door that is sun facing all day, and has no ceiling fan. With the AC running the room was sitting at 75ยฐ-78ยฐF at night. I purchased 2 rolls of this film to cover the sliding door. My room now keeps closer to 68ยฐ-72ยฐF. And no direct sun at 5:45am. Easy to install and cut. The film is a thick vinyl like material.

Good product. Measure before buying
These are 100% black out meaning no one can see in, nor can you see out. Measure your windows to buy the correct size. Use glass cleaner and good towel to clean windows. Get all air out as you apply. Gradually put on. Wonโt work if you try to just slap it on. Iโm happy because I use this for only upper area of apartment windows to keep street light and sun out. Cheaper than curtains, looks okay. Does its job

Good with Caviot
Does what it should do. However, after the first cut, it's virtually impossible to get the backing off as there are no more tabs.

Awesome product, don't believe the bad reviews!
Not sure about the other reviews but glad I took a chance to purchase, will be buying another roll! Very easy to cut with guidelines and much thicker than window cling I've used previously. Backing wasn't terrible to remove just some effort (initial piece has removal tab, second piece after cutting didn't but wasn't too difficult). Application was very easy, cleaned the windows then sprayed with water and used a card to squeegee out any bubbles. Stuck very firmly. Went with white knowing black isn't for double paned windows. Last summer I used white foam board which worked well to block out sun/heat but due to thickness need removal every time I wanted to open the windows. This is much more efficient for about the same cost. Some reviews complain it's not completely black out, which is not true. The cling itself is completely black out but due to caulking at window/glass seams it's not possible to get true edge to edge coverage. Easily remedied with some white electrical tape over these edges.

Effective Blackout Solution with a Few Hitches
I have mixed emotions with this VELIMAX Static Cling Total Blackout Window Film. It works as advertised, almost complete blackout. I measure and went edge to edge almost perfectly. Was able to peel off and reposition with the little bit of overlap on one side of the window. I checked on it a few days after installation, Iโm not sure if it shrinks or it moved. Now there is a tiny gap on 3 sides of my window. Not a deal breaker. I ran out and had to buy a 2nd roll for the last panel of my window. Pros: -Easy installation. -Easy to remove bubbles. -Easy to reposition. -Easy to remove and try again. Con: -Removing that static protective barrier. It was a nightmare. Tried different methods and ended up taking it to work for a big work surface to remove the static barrier. In the end, cutting the corner trying to remove the barrier from there seemed to work best. The film peeled off in strips or chucks. There was only one cut piece where the whole barrier came off in one piece. Now the 2nd roll seems to make my con a lie. The static barrier came right off with ease. No cutting corners, cussing, or using a roll of double-sided tape (yes a full roll) to help. Both cut pieces were very easy. So maybe it was the length? Because the 2nd roll was shorter than the 1st roll I ordered? The VELIMAX Static Cling Total Blackout Window Film is an effective solution for light blocking, offering easy installation and reusability. While it excels in darkening rooms, the installation can be challenging due to the static protective barrier. There may be some inconsistency in product quality. Overall, it's a good buy for those seeking a temporary and adjustable blackout solution, but keep in mind the potential need for adjustments over time.

Fab blackout
I put this up in my room and my toddlers room. Mine has been up almost 2 years, and other than peeling back a bit at the corners, it's stayed up very well. In my toddlers room I took it down at winter and put it back up once the days got longer again and there were no issues with it staying up, it was like new, really pleased.
