Works fairly well

I really like this knife. It can be used on sticks, blocks and tub butter (like kerrygold) for way easier spreading of butter on bread, rolls, etc. You'll find better ways to work with ribbons of butter, instead of chunks, because of the way the knife is designed. It's also very reasonably priced and of made of sturdy material.

I agree with most negative reviewers that the "curler" side does not deliver the butter the way the picture shows.... BUT, the serrated side does a great job at getting a thin slice of cold butter to spread easily onto a piece of bread or english muffin, so I did not return the knife.

Made of sturdy material, which makes it beautiful. It is so easy to use, even on frozen butter.

Works like a dream with two different edges for making hard, cold butter spreadable! Really awesome, heavy duty, well-made and effective product.

I used to absolutely shred my toast whenever I buttered or jammed (or both'ed) it. This spreader makes it so much easier to apply a liberal amount of spread onto my toast quickly, meaning I'm less likely to rip a hole in it. I still don't know how to use it effectively (what's the point of the circles along the edge? Should come with a tiny instruction card lol), but just the fact that its a larger flat surface already makes it easier to butter my toast. Clean up is a little bit of a pain since, because it's just butter and it's a larger surface, hot water isn't enough. Just add a drop of dishwashing liquid (or use a dishwasher) and it's no problem though.

Great item. Just what I wanted. UNFORTUNATELY, although it was supposed to have been put through my letterbox, it was delivered to a neighbouring house, which is clearly numbered. I checked the photo & visited houses until I found the correct door. It was a nuisance, but only took a few minutes. However, by that time, the neighbours had opened it. Fortunately, I now have my knives.

My daughter uses this butter knife every day.
