There is a thicker rubber mat on the top of the drawers, providing a nice little work/prep area. The drawers are lockable, 2 keys are supplied. Highly recommended I will be using this in my little workshop for my crafting projects, with these drawers I can now organise my tools and supplies neatly giving me more room on the workbench.
