Easy installation. Very cold water. Bought it for my Mom... she loves it!

The unit works well in my household of 4 adults. I have owned it for 9 months at the time of this review.

I purchased this filter at the end of November 2025, and as of April 30, 2026, it no longer cools the water. I contacted the manufacturer’s customer service, and they *assumed* the issue was due to a dirty or clogged filter, suggesting that I should replace it or even repair the unit myself. That is completely unacceptable. The water flow is normal — the problem is clearly with the unit not cooling, not with the filter being blocked. Instead of properly diagnosing or honoring their responsibility, they simply made assumptions and shifted the burden onto the customer. This shows a complete lack of respect for customers and poor support. I ended up taking the loss. I do not recommend this product at all — you will likely regret buying it.

Our water from the faucet is frequently brown/yellow colored. And we live within 1/4 mile of our local Water Treatment Facility. Lenoir City Utility Board said our yellow/brown water is safe to drink but I don't want to. I think water out of the faucet should look like water! This water doesn't even taste good and I don't even want to give it to my dogs to drink. We have used a Zero Water Filter Pitcher for a few years but we have to refill it numerous times a day. And when you do that then the water is never very cold. I saw this on Amazon and it was a very good price so I ordered it. My husband who is a plumber, among many other trades. It took him about 3 hours. We did have to drill a hole through our granite top and he is very particular about the way his work looks, even if it is under a sink. So that does take him a bit longer than your average plumber. (Because he's above average!) The Hot water is HOT! And it's awesome! And the cold water is cold and I was able to fill my gallon jug up with water today for the first time in years! Replacement filters are a little expensive but they should last for around 6 months (1,500 gallons). They are $99 for the set and if you subscribe you save 15% on the Avalon website.

So, in all honesty I never got to use this item, but wanted to make a significant correction to the dimensions that they advertise. The hard shell of the item is 13 inches, but then the cooling coil was another inch or so, then the filters make a total depth measurement of nearly 19 inches! It was packaged really well, and appearance was as advertised, hookup looked easy, but could not work with the extra 6 inches of depth in the area it was shopped for.

Bought it 8 months ago.. Cold water stopped working, after troubleshooting online with Avalon, nothing worked, they decided to ship a whole new unit to me for free! Am super happy with Avalon ! Water is not only super cold!!!! But tastes wonderful. I truly recommend it.

This is exactly what we were looking for. It only make noise during the cooling cycle, but most of the time it’s completely silent. It was very easy to hook up. There is a little bit of maintenance with this machine. I would like the water a little bit colder and the replacement filters are expensive.

We love this water dispenser! Hot and cold water on demand. Water is hot enough for tea or hot chocolate. Water is colder than what our old fridge used to supply. Easy to hook up. Filters are a bit pricey but you only need to replace them every 6 months, depending on how much you use. Light switch is useless unless you want to go searching the back of the unit in the dark.

What a garbage machine. We’re on our 4th machine in 4 years. They all freeze inside. Avalon makes you pay to buy a new thermostat, and it’s difficult to change, and turns out it wasn’t the thermostat. They stopped responding. Stay away from this garbage.
