Upto now the product is good. Cable has some fitting issues, type-c cable side little bit loose contact. Which is causing HDD to disconnect from system. Speed is matching the OEM cable of HDD. here im providing my test case scenarios: WD My Passport (July 9th-2017 Model) speed test through standard cable: Copy (Tested with 1.5gb single file):- 1) 1.5gb single file copy from hdd to system 108 mbps (Read speed=108mbps) 2) 1.5gb single file copy from system to hdd 110 mbps (write speed=110mbps) Move (Teseted with 1.5gb single file):- 3) 1.5gb single file move from hdd to system 110 mbps (Read speed=110mbps) 4) 1.5gb single file move from system to hdd 110 mbps (write speed=110mbps) Copy (Teseted with 13.3gb folder):- 5) 13.3 gb folder copy from hdd to system 108 mbps (Read speed=108mbps) 6) 13.3 gb folder copy from system to hdd 108 mbps (write speed=108mbps) The initial speed is low and then exponentially increases. I’m using this usb-c cable with Orico SATA USB casing/enclosure having a crucial BX500 240GB SSD connected to thunderbolt 3 port on my MacBook Air 2020 M1. I was skeptical whether this’d work on this port or not. But luckily it worked. Build quality. Moreover, the build quality is top notch with metallic ports, braided design (good for you if you have rats at home or if you need to carry it in a tiny bag), connectors are tight fit, and the cable is short length so less strangling and run. Watch the video I made to see it practically. Speed. The cable gives a great performance of about about 300 MBPS write and 400 MBPS read on my MacBook Air TB3 port using exFAT partition. On partitioning using NTFS on windows and using diskmark tool, it gives about 450 MBPS read and write. But if you want to use it both Mac and windows. You can use exFAT. This is the best you can buy at this price for now. All stuff purchased from Amazon and thanks for great deliveries.

I liked the sturdiness of the cable and the fast transfer it provided. Unfortunately i was able to use the cable only for few months as somehow the cable was not working as expected, so I wanted to replace the cable as it was under 24 month warranty; They promptly agreed to refund and all the amount was refunded within 48 hours.

It just fits very tightly in to the port and not at all easily ... I had to apple gr8 pressure to pull it out and insert. Using it on the macbook M1 air .. don't know about windows laptop ... The wire is good quality wise though .. got very good speeds transferring multiple files . (Around 27 gb) Would definitely recommend but for the uncomfortably tight fit with the macbook air ... Pulling it out feels as if my port will break .

Good and sturdy cable with strong connectors. Only downside is high price.

Bought this cable to improve the access speed of photos stored on a 4TB external HDD. Though my laptop has an SS port, access had been painfully slow with the USB 3 cable that was included with the HDD, rendering the HDD unusable for anything but mere backup. Access speed improved noticeably after connecting through my laptop's USB-C port and this USB-C cable, enabling me to access photos on the external HDD both for review and for editing purposes. Size of cable ordered (1ft) proved ideal for me personally.
