Hi folks -- I'm neither old nor diabetic. These are a great tasting lo-calorie yet nutritious snack for a 60-something widow who doesn't always eat right (but watches her waistline). That said, the packaging is: JUST PLAIN AWEFUL -- Who are you trying to keep out? If it is the children or the elderly, you have succeeded -- no one, can open the container without a very sharp object & a lot foul language. The oddity is: neither a child nor an elderly person would do anything but love this delicious product. Redo the packaging or include a sharp object to open it.

These taste SO GOOD. To me they evoke childhood memories of Yoo-Hoo which I'd sometimes get as a treat. I'd say they're just a tad richer and thicker, but they taste very close and give me that same sense of joy. I'm not much of a breakfast person--I don't usually have an appetite in the morning--but I do like to get something nutritious into me first thing to kick the day off. These work great. They're not a meal replacement (not enough calories), but they do have great protein and very low carb so they won't spike or crash your blood sugar. I've tried other flavors (my spouse loves the strawberry banana, but for me they're too sweet, and artificially so), and this one is just the most well-rounded and appealing for my tastes.

Sugar free my doctor said. So, I bought these. The flavor is okay just a little after taste. Great for diabetics or as like me pre-diabetic.

I buy these Splenda shakes from Amazon! They have 0 sugar and 170 calories and are delicious! The seller does a fast job of getting them to me! I don’t want to ru. Out as I have one every morning for breakfast!

I ordered the "chocolate" flavor because hey...I like chocolate! What I like. it is thick and creamy and if you shake it vigorously, it does become rather "shake" like. Especially if it's really cold. I also like that it's sugar-free. When you're diabetic, that's always a plus. What I don't like. It says it's "chocolate" but if it is, then it's really weak chocolate. I mean, it's got a hint of maybe a chocolate like flavor. But mainly it's sweet, that's the predominant flavor. They can seriously improve this drink by ratcheting down the sweetness a little and upping the chocolate a lot! I experimented and put in a small amount of cocoa powder (unsweetened) and it made a tremendous difference. Made the drink a *MUCH* better drink. When I compare the flavor to the "Other guys", the "other guys" diabetic drink has much more flavor. The other thing I don't like is that the bottles are almost impossible to open. To open, you grasp the bottle with one hand, and the cap with your other, then twist. Easy, right? Not so easy when the bottle has a plastic sleeve that slips so that no matter how hard your grasp the bottle, you're only holding on to the plastic sleeve and the bottle spins inside that sleeve when you twist the cap. You either need a pair of Channel Lock pliers to grip the bottle with, or you need to peel off the plastic sleeve/label so you can hold on to the actual bottle and not the sleeve. I cannot tell you how much of a pain this is. I mean, the "other guys" who sell a similar product, do not have this problem. I now have a new decision I need to make every morning...do I want to fuss with this spinny bottle in the sleeve problem or just grab something else from the fridge? And I would not recommend trying to open the bottle while driving. You will crash your car...yes, it is that much of a pain!

Best bang for the buck

The milk chocolate flavor is very good and I like that there is protein and fiber included and most of all that it is sugar free. It is rich and filling, almost like it’s concentrated so to avoid a possible stomachache, I pour one bottle into a 52 oz carton of unsweetened oat milk and enjoy over a day or two. One slightly annoying issue I have with the bottle is the wrap around the top, which is difficult to remove because it’s so tightly wrapped. Seems overly complicated just to open a bottle. I used the tip of a sharp knife once and sliced the tip of a finger open but that was my own stupidity . Overall, good stuff at a good price. I’ll continue to purchase.
