Titebond III is considered safe for use with surfaces that contact your food. It is safe for use on cutting and chacuterie boards. Other compounds can be safe after a period of time.

Will this be strong between mdf and a laminated piece (might be mdf or particle board but seems dense) or should i try to sand away the laminate ?

Titebond III is a great wood glue but unfortunately it will not work well on laminated mdf. It would be best to sand away or otherwise remove the Melamine (or other laminate) at the glue joint. To have a strong joint, some penetration of the glue into the surface is necessary.

Will this glue work on treated lumber?

This glue will work on treated lumber IF you are using thoroughly dried treated lumber. If it’s still damp, will not bond properly.

Which glue can I use on paint surfaces?

Good question.. I only use Type III. Mostly on raw wood (unfinished) I have used it on pieces of furniture that have been finished. Discovered no problems. Clean up with shop rag, slightly damp.
