Spray on my beard before I straighten and makes it smooth no smell of burning.

I’m old, just retired and decided to grow out my beard. It’s pretty long but absolutely unruly after maybe 5” as it literally curves over. I bought a brush type heated straightener and it works, but within a half hour outside it’s not very straight anymore. I was ready to trim it, but hoped this would help after reading reviews. I get out of the shower, pat dry with a towel, spray on a liberal amount and rub it in, let it dry and then straighten it. It literally stays straight into the next day. I immediately ordered more. I’m sure everyone’s hair is different, but it worked wonders for me. My lady commented that she likes the smell too.

I like this product. It does what it says it does, it protects from heat damage and helps to straighten the beard. But the smell, although not unpleasant, has a chemical side to it that bugs me. I noticed that after using it a couple times with a higher heat setting on the beard straightener that the chemical side of the product is far less noticeable. And like I said, the product works and very well. It just smells like you walked out of a professional barber shop after using it, but if you slap on some beard oil or balm after straightening your beard the smell of the product is virtually non-existent. Overall a very good product.

Guys, I didn't even use a heater and this stuff straightened out my goatee (chin beard) simply by spraying it on and lightly using a tight bristled brush and going out over it lightly, several times, then leaving it. Then when my beard started to go sideways again, I repeated the process and it finally held, for many hours! I highly recommend this, especially if you have a proper brush and iron, as described in the instructions. Don't hesitate to try it, because it works. Never mind the fact that there is a lot of it, and it's priced inexpensively, as far as I'm concerned. In this case, you get what you pay for. Update: OK, now this is impressive. I woke up this morning and my beard was still fairly straight and soft. I ran a fine bristle brush through my beard and there was no resistance. Now tell me that isn't an impressive product and I'll eat your hat.

defective sprayer I had to put old bottle sprayer on new bottle since sprayer didn't work, no big deal since I had an old bottle still. But since its a new bottle that came with a defective sprayer I had to give it a 3 star

The smell is not your problem... don't worry about it. Your problem is a severely dry, tangled beard. This stuff will fix that problem the very instant you spray it on your beard. You spray it on, and your comb will IMMEDIATELY glide through your beard. You don't need to spray a lot, a few squirts is all it takes. The bottle will last for months.
