I will let you know how it works once I get back from Elk Hunting in September. It should be quite a test.

Gps holder for motorcycle
Great product. It is made very well. Yes you do get sunglare, as you do with anything on a motorcycle, but this is a great and durable product. Highly recommended for the price and product.

Caution, may not get what is pictured.....read on....
I ordered one of these a few months back, and love it (they sent what was shown in the picture). I just ordered another one for my wife's bike, and was sent one very close, but the way it mounts on the handlebars was very different. I got supplied a bolt/with the old style wingnut (a very small one at that) and a strip of rubber to rap around the bars. Plus, the mount is NOT adjustable like the one pictured (and like the one I ordered a few months ago). Also, the new version does not lock the GPS cover to the handlebar mount like old one I have, which helps alot with keeping your expensive GPS attached to your bike. Now, I don't know if this is an overall design change? or, they were out of stock on this one, and just threw something close to it in the box and sent that to me.Closing thoughts: If you get the one pictured, it is great and works well. I give it a 5 star rating, but if you get the one I described here, not even close to the quality build and ease of use. I did not return the one they sent, even though I should have. I left the same review about the seller also. The only way to buy online is to get what is shown in the photo.

a great product
It keeps your gps dry, the mounting hardware held up even to 1700 miles of mountain roads, freeways and potholes. I was concerned about the heat buildup with the gps, but it didn't seem to effect it. It is big enough for all sizes of gps, has a sealed hole at the bottom for the power cord and different size shims to support your gps. It does what you want it to do at a good price. What more can you ask.

Didn't fit quit right to my handle bars.

Tested and works great!
We had a heavy downpour here recently, and with my riding a motorcycle quite often, it provided a superb test for this case's waterproof claims. My GPS stayed dry as a bone. As for myself...well, let's just say I won't be purposely riding in the rain again anytime soon.

Good concept, but not a great product.
I have a 2000 Harley Ultra Classic motorcycle, and I have a Garmin Nuvi 1300 series GPS. I have been looking for a decent GPS holder to use on my motorcycle so that I could use my Garmin on trips. I saw the high ratings on this product, so I figured that I would purchase one. I liked the fact that it was weather resistant, and the idea that I wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of my GPS falling off during the ride. When the unit was delivered, I went ahead and mounted it on the brake side of the handlebar. (The reason that I didn't mount it on the clutch side was due to that I had a drink holder on that side. I use my left hand for getting my water bottle.) Since there is wiring and the brake line, I had to mount the bracket a little further down the handlebar. I did have to remove one of the factory zip lines that holds the wiring in place so that I could mount the bracket. The water resistant case has several rubber pads that are used as spacers, and I found those pads will get in the way of the NUVI 1300 USB power plug, so I had to cut off one corner of all the pads to allow the plug to fit. I found the water resistant case was slightly over sized for my GPS, but those rubber spacer pads did help keep the GPS unit in place.I then place the water resistant case onto the mounting bracket and adjusted to where I might be able to see it, and then I turned the Garmin on. It looked great in my garage, but I wanted to test using it while on the road. This was where I saw it had several weaknesses. Because it had to be mounted lower on the handlebar, it made it difficult to see lower down without taking your eyes off the road a little longer than you should. I feel this would have still been the case if I had mounted it on the left side (clutch side). Also, because of mounting at a lower angle, this causes light glare from the screen making the GPS unit useless during the trip, unless it was night. If the bracket were to be able to be mounted higher on the handlebar and/or had a longer connecting stem from the case to the bracket, then it might have been better. It's no use to have a GPS if you can't use it, so this is why I gave this item a low score.

GPS stand
This item was purchased for a motorcycle and works extremely well. If we happen to get caught in the rain, our GPS is completely protected. It attaches quite easily so we are very happy with it.

Meh, it's ok.
When the item eventually arrived. It took 3 weeks. It was ok. I wanted this to mount on my motorcycle to hold my Nuvi. I guess you get what you pay for. It's cheap plastic and I wouldn't trust the clip on the back on a mountain bike for example to hold an expensive GPS without some sort of lanyard as a backup. At the first pot hole or bump I can see your GPS bouncing off and getting run over. I did away with the clip and installed just the bag onto a ram mount on the dashboard. It's at best a 'light shower' proof and certainly not waterproof.

Works well with mount cradle
I bought this to work with the Duragadget mount cradle to use on my motorcycle. They haven't separated yet! I keep thinking the case will slide up and away from the cradle (see rear view on product description) but has been ok so far. (I do attach the case to the handlebars separately with satnav in situ in case it does fly off . . .). I haven't used it in the wet so far (hence only 4 stars) so await with trepidation my first downpour. It has since been used in the most torrential rain (Yeovil flooded, new waterproof(!) boots leaking) and not a drop of water found inside. Wonderful! The two items have not separated after several hundred miles of use, either. 5 stars now.
