The pressure cooker works again after the Gasket is changed. Just hope that it is cheaper.

This looked like the right thing, and it turns out to be so. I had long since forgotten how the gasket should look and feel. Even with everything spotlessly clean the old gasket would not hold any pressure. The old gasket is easy to pull out, and the new one just slots right in. Perfect size. The new gasket feels very soft and sticky compared to the old one. I boiled a pint of water to test the seal, it didn't leak any steam until the pressure valve started to release steam. Perfect. My pressure cooker is restored to new condition. Why anyone would expect instructions on how to use the pressure cooker, with a replacement gasket, is beyond me.
