Believe it or not, but this product was actually purchased for the resident dog. The stray dog, which Mumzy and Popzy have adopted, has severe skin allergies, along with constant yeast infections --- which made him raw, itchy and quite unpleasant to be next to. Truth be known, at times, he smelled terrible. Therefore the veterinarian suggested the following: The dog have baths with this shampoo as well as the recommended medicated dog shampoo. Wow! --- What a difference. This shampoo has worked wonders for that poor dog. It has soothed his raw skin, and has made him as soft as silk. Although the shampoo is for humans, it has helped this little creature tremendously. Previously, Mumzy and Popzy had tried so many other shampoos in order to bring some relief to the dog, but nothing seemed to help --- until now. Thank you Selsun Blue! You have saved the day, and you have saved the pup. He is so very happy! Besides, now he even smells wonderful --- the dog I mean. That distinct odor is gone, and our house smells pleasant once again. That makes moi --- the resident cat --- quite happy! Oh what a bother! Phffft!

This helps my itchy scalp. The only Selsun Blue shampoo that does. I have tried the other but they make matters worse. I use regular shampoo and wash my hair 5 times a week. Overdrying is probably the cause of my itchy scalp but it's what it takes to keep my hair clean and oil-free, so not washing often is not an option for my kind of hair. If I skip a day or two without washing, my scalp starts to itch and get flakey. I use Selsun 2 x a week to control that itchiness and the flakes. And this is the only one I have been using for years as it's effective and cheaper than Nizarol.
