How many square meters can be covered with this?** A: Yes it's a clear/ transparent coat. It is not designed for water based paint (acrylic), use a topcoat on Venetian/ faux plaster as they absorb water when dry and more prone to scratching and scuffing. 1 quart will cover 200-300 sqf. **Q: Can this be applied on joint compound and how many square feet would 32 ounces cover?** A: Yes but should put a quality primer 1st. Also to further gain yield tint your primer to a color that is close to your Vplaster (it literally cost nothing extra) **Q: Can this be used with another brand’s plaster (e.g. Vella)?** A: When I put this I lost the shiny. You can use some natural wax I think looks better. But if you want to try it, yes it’s possible to be used over another brand **Q: Is this applied with a roller or a putty knife?** A: I use professional Venetian plaster blades and trowels. A putty knife can be used in a pinch for small areas only. I thankfully had some of the plaster left over and used this top coat over the newly applied plaster to patch a couple spots on the wall.
