It Does Everything; Easy to Use and Clean
Bought this in July and we have used it for everything--from drying herbs, toast, bagels, making biscuits in a cast iron frying pan, making Thanksgiving side dishes which we usually cook in the oven, air frying fish and fries, melting cheese for sandwiches, proofing, and convection. It came in so handy over Thanksgiving as the turkey cooked in the oven--we cooked many of the side dishes here. It cooks evenly and is very easy to set or reset. It's bigger inside than it looks--I cannot believe what we were able to fit inside. I bought it b/c my husband doesn't like a lot of digital gadgets and this one is so easy to use--even he can figure it out. :) It's easy to clean--you pull out the plate and it cleans up quickly. It pre-heats very quickly. Once it's pre-heated, it switches to keeping time. The dials allow you to change the cooking time. Dials for toasting allow you to choose the toast setting and the number of slices. My husband remarked that the air fryer option is much better than our air fryer and I would agree. In fact, you do not have to interrupt the cooking to flip the food. It cooks both sides evenly. There is a light that stays on during cooking so it's easy to see inside. I did a lot of research on these ovens and for the price and performance, you cannot beat the Kitchen Aid. One last comment: I read somewhere to stay away from models with dials on top. These dials are on the bottom and the fan is in the back. The top can get pretty hot so leave enough room on each side for air to flow. Only negative is cleaning crumbs is a pain to get in the small areas. Also, the unit does not turn off when you open the door. I highly recommend this unit.

Really like the looks and quality materials
It looks quite nice and is made of solid materials. Good quality, though it can sometimes make a intermittent resonance sound when the convection fan is running. It could just be the wire shelf I have it on has one of the feet resting at a minute angle....though you'd expect the engineers to factor these use cases into consideration. Overall, It makes good toast and heats up quick, which is all I really needed. Air frying. I've been a hold-out on "air frying" all these years (I found the concept kinda silly, seeing as it's just a convection oven!), but when my last toaster oven died I figured "what the heck" and get a unit that does both toaster oven and air fry functions. It's alright! I've found, generally speaking, this oven requires 20 or so degrees higher than what common air fryer recipes dictate. Am I disappointed we live an economy where a small kitchen appliance costs $200? Totally. But I paid higher than the economy models (which I still think are overpriced!), because I hope to get many years of service out of this. Fingers crossed.

Gets a bunch of jobs done pretty well - with some flaws
My oven broke and I am waiting to replace my stove until I get some larger remodeling work done. I have limited counter space, and my existing cabinets are hung pretty low, so I already had a challenge finding a larger toaster oven/fryer combo that would fit. I have used this non-stop since I received it, for everything from toast, baking, drying flowers, etc. For the air fryer function, I have mostly used it to roast vegetables; I am a little concerned that if anything particular greasy or fatty were cooked in the air fryer basket, it would just drop all over the lower heating elements, but I have not tested that out yet. The surrounding door gets very hot, and depending where you have the oven placed, you have to be careful not to burn your hand on the upper heating elements when trying to remove food - you are going to want a good oven mitt for this one. It has worked really well for baking, and the included pan is pretty decent. Pulling out the bottom tray for cleaning is OK, but I inevitably end up with some crumbs that fall into the door hinge. That's on me, I guess. Overall, it is doing what I need it to do.

Great Toaster/Oven/Air Fryer
Not sure why it took 18 days to arrive (shipped and sold by Amazon) but it finally did. That said, we like this countertop appliance. It comes with a regular rack, air fryer based and grilling pan/rack and has settings for everything from proofing dough to toast, baking, grilling, air frying and more. Have used it for just about everything now and it works well. It is also small enough that it can sit on the counter below an upper cabinet. There are no vents on the top, so it it convenient to keep trays and basket staked on top without issue.

It's a keeper
This Kitchenaid model KCO128CU lives up to my expectations. There is ample room to cook a Cornish hen. It bakes evenly and is true to items packaging specified temperatures/baking times. The air fyer cooks the same. The unit has a light inside that I appreciate for keeping an eye out for level of doneness. It is very quiet and fits on my counter without taking up a wide space. Its very easy to clean. The fan on the back forces it to sit closer to the counter edge on the front but, remains a sufficient distance back. The unit is large enough inside to accommodate a 9x13 baking pan and the pizza stone is a plus. All being said and done, this unit is a keeper. I highly recommend it. I've purchased and returned 7 air fryer/toaster ovens that including Cuisinart, Oster, Chefman brands and none of them met my expectations. To be fair I purchased a Breville Mini Compact oven and had to return it because it was actually too small to cook a Cornish hen as advertised. The only reason I did not replace it with a larger one was because next size up was too large for a single person and my countertop and I would have had to, once again, pay shipping. (I'll paying closer attention to this on all future items before purchasing anything). The Oster did not cook even and burned the food long before the recommended time. I didn't decide to return it in time but, was able to sell it to a neighbor All of them were very loud to operate. The Cuisinart was just too small inside and very difficult to clean. The Chefman had no on/off button and there was no way to cancel without having to unplug the unit. It was extremely hot on the outside and the fan ran for 25min before cooling and turning off the unit. Very loud unit.

Surprisingly good applicance for the money
This KCO124BM is KitchenAid's cheapest model that includes convection/air frying. It's a single fan model and heats/cooks/bakes evenly enough for our purposes. I haven't compared it to KitchenAid's more expensive multi-fan model, but would predict the multi-fan improvement to how evenly it convects is probably worth it to folks who plan to use it as a primary cooking appliance. The best surprise with the KCO124BM is toasting is consistent and fairly quick despite the large interior compartment. It provides an accurate re-calculation of toasting time depending on whether it's already been recently used. Four minutes for well-browned toast from cold, and 2 minutes after previous use. Another surprise is baking capability is more like a real oven than a tabletop toaster oven. The air frying works well and the non-stick bottom pan is surprisingly easy to clean. Highly recommend this model, it has prepared many excellent meals for us.

Very nice - just not for me
I bought and used this “air fryer” oven for a week. It performed wonderfully. To call this an “air fryer” is really misleading. It is a convection oven, not an air fryer. While convection and air frying are similar, they do not produce the same results, in my opinion. I found that this did not save me any time “air frying” and it took up a considerable amount of counter space in my very small kitchen. For a small family or two people this is a great choice at a good price. It is easy to operate and includes a nice rack, basket and tray. Instead of returning, I gave this to my son and daughter in law and they absolutely love it. They said they use it every single day and no longer use their “big” oven. I bought a 4 qt air fryer instead and couldn’t be happier.
