Really practical. I’ve used this make of planner for the last 10 years of teaching in a secondary school.

Sadly my school only offers the A4 size planner which over many years, I've discovered encourages me to keep too many paper handouts in it! I also try to cycle to work some days and this size can fit in my bike paniers with everything else a teacher needs to transport.
