The solution for my 1200 gallon swim spa to get rid of rust and metals from my well water
Having a 1,200 gallon swim spa that I fill with well water means dealing with persistent rust stains and mineral buildup. That was until I discovered Metal Down - it has been a game-changing treatment for keeping my spa water clear and free of metals. At the start of each season, I add just 2-3 16oz bottles of Mead Down to my 1,200 gallon spa. This concentrated formula immediately goes to work binding up iron, copper, and other dissolved metals present in my well water supply. Within a few days, the spa water takes on a beautiful clarity without any reddish or brown tinting from metal oxides. What impresses me most is how effectively those 2-3 initial bottles treat 1,200 gallons and keep metal issues at bay for the season.. No need for constant re-dosing or scrubbing away stubborn stains as they build up over time. The value is outstanding considering each 16oz bottle can treat up to 20,000 gallons! For my modest 1,200 gallon spa, a little Mead Down goes an incredibly long way before needing to re-apply the next season.Using Mead Down is also incredibly easy - simply pour it in and let it work its magic. There's no need for precise measuring or special application methods. If you have a swim spa or pool supplied by metal-rich well water, I can't recommend this metal Down enough based on my experience. It eliminates unsightly staining, prevents scale buildup, and keeps your spa water sparkling clear all season with minimal effort required.

Strips out the iron
Old pool cover was leaking rust into the pool from the exposed steel foam core supports. This turned the water bright yellow when the chlorine shock was added but this additive knocked that down within 30 minutes. New inerts won't have this problem but our well water has its own iron so although not as dramatic due to the lower concentration, this still does the trick and only has to be added when the water is topped off.

Excellent!
If I could give this product 20 stars I would! Opened up our pool after the winter only to find that the cover had ripped and the pool water was a dark, brown murky green! We shocked the pool, which definitely helped clear it up, but the shock mixed with the metal in the water, causing brown stains all over the liner! we were devastated because the liner was replaced last year. We gave this product a chance and within 48 hours the pool was lovely!

We are still searching for the best product for the job
Did not work as well as it should have . We have well water and it contains a significant amount of manganese. This unfortunately did not get the job done. We are still searching for the best product for the job.

Works like a charm
This product is excellent and good value for its price!!! Drop it in let it filter for a while and bam clean water. We have very hard well water and struggled with iron and reddish, brown colored water once mixed woth chlorine. Not anymore once this product was introduced. It's kept the pool pretty clear!!!

OVERNIGHT FROM GREEN TO BLUE; IT WORKS!!!
We have a 33’ round, with deep end pool, 25,000 gallons, had a lot of rain over the winter, I also put new copper cartridge in filter when pulling cover off, shocking it, and it turned green (but not from algae (I have no algae). I googled to see what ot could be and saw where it’s from high metals. I put 4 - 16oz. bottles of Metal Gone in the pool last night and these pics are from this morning. It works!
