Struggling with testing coax for some reason but testing multiple data cables is perfect

This Item is a "step up/add on" from the base model. So you don't have to buy the expensive kit with these in it and still get one map (dongle ID #1), on the tester itself to get by with testing one line at a time This kit starts at Map ID #2 thru #6 . The upgrade kit cost less but dongles IDs start at number #7 thru #12 and does not come with case.The mapping on these devices allow you to test for Location (via dongle ID#) length, shorts, fliped pairs and opens. Will also test the length to the damage helping to find issues. The length test is not accurate but close enough to get the job done. Disclosure: I did not buy my product on AMZ but it is the same Manufacture and Item number.

I've been a huge Klein Toos fan since I was in Tech School, in the mid '70s and have always been happy with my tools, you get what you pay for. I don't mind paying a little more for a tool that will serve me well and almost all of my 70's Klein tools are still in my tool bag. However, this addon kit should be part of the tool itself, IMO. So, I'm docking 1 star for having to buy this to get functionality that should have been provided with the main testing tool, but rest assured these work flawlessly as advertised.Read on about the experience of learning I needed to buy this upgrade kit and the biggest concerns I have. This is less about the actual product and more about having to buy it.The biggest issue is with the Scout Pro 3 Tester kit, you get the remote ID ends, but they ONLY will ID the end, not show cable details like pinout, length and continuity. Reading the documentation requires hands on experimentation to make sense of it.To sum it all up as I said I'm a Klein fanboy and IMO they missed the mark on the marketing of the original and with the documentation containing incomplete sentences and vague language.

É complemento muito importante, ajuda muito, a única coisa que valor é um absurdo, mas quem pode comprar, pode ir sem medo e vem uma maleta fantástica para por kit completo,incluído o teste principal.

Expensive addon back for the netowkr tester Scout 3 but highly recommended. What isnt made clearl is that this comes with a large Klein Tools Case to hold this all in. Makes network testing a breeze.
