I've had this mat for about 6 months now. I've hit thousands of shots off of it in the garage during the winter and now the backyard. Couple wear spots from my most common hitting patterns but its still holding up fantastically. As a new golfer I'm still "Chunking" decently often and the thickness of the mat is very forgiving, not injuring me. I think I'll be able to get a couple years out of this mat even with my heavy use.

I got this for my sim I built about 5 months ago. I wanted to wait to review until it went through heavy use to see if it holds up, it does. I would typically hit 4-5 days per week averaging 100-150 shots a day. I used it for 5 months and it's still in excellent shape. Rough estimate would be over 10,000 shots minimum. This is a high-quality mat that protects your wrists. I highly recommend getting the PRO version, as the bottom impact foam is much thicker than the standard. This is worth every bit of extra money as you don't want to injure your wrists. Hitting a bad chuck or taking a deep divot was very smooth and the mat handles it very well. Durability was great, there was a very subtle mat sink from your feet, but I would just rotate the mat and it would even itself out over time. This is completely normal for these mats, and maybe only a super expensive one does not have this slight issue. The artificial turf is very durable and holds in place well after tons of iron shots directly off the mat. It does come shipped folded in the center, but the crease will go away after a bit of use. Not an issue for me personally.

I chose the "5'x4' PRO" GoSports mat and very satisfied that I selected this option (size and 15mm foam thickness), especially after using the mat. It's very comfortable to stand on when practicing, the prefect size and the quality appears to be durable enough to provide long lasting use, time will tell. A bunch of us went on a four day trip to a RV and Golf Resort where the RV sites face the fairways. We placed the pad on the RV's cement slab and about 10 of us practiced drives and chip shots in the evenings for the next few days using mostly GoSports Foam Golf Practice Balls (limited flight). Although the mat got a little abuse from a few newbies, it didn't show any signs of damage, whew! As you can see, the overall review rating in 5 stars, 600 plus reveiws. I read a couple of review complaints about rips/tears within a month, hard to imagine after some of the hacking I saw take place this past week (probably 800 plus swings). We were using irons most of the time and I would say that you really got to be aggressive chopping down on the ball at a very high rate of speed to tear this mat up prematurely, I would think your shoulders will give out first, mine would. I also read complaints about the mat moving. Again, we were on cement, the only time that I saw the mat move significantly (twist radially) was when a buddy of mine that has a VERY high club head swing speed was driving, it definitly moved! I didn't notice the mat moving for the rest of us to a point where we were compelled to reposition it. The mat folds in half if needed, but it flatened right out when I received it, probably because we were in high temperatures, in colder climates you might store flat. You don't want to leave the mat stored outdoors exposed to the elements and deteriorate prematurely. I read that some guys will roll the mat up with a strap and store inside when not in use. I'll update the review in a year or so.

Its a quality hitting mat that has good padding underneath (placement is over bricks). i can feel a response on miss hits but i dont feel like im going to injure myself when i drop my shoulder and hit the ground. i have used it a few times and it seems durable, not to mention that you can spin it around and have a fresh hitting surface when one side gets worn. One problem i did notice is that it can move underneath my feet after hitting a few, but that may be due to it being placed over fake grass carpet over bricks with sand between the bricks. i imagine some sort of carpet tape could fix this issue if it bothers you or just a better placement than mine. otherwise the only complaint is that not all the lies on the course are this nice to hit off of.

I truly love this mat. The quality is spectacular and the feel is great too. Love hitting off this mat. As a bonus my cat loves it too lol

Used for 2 seasons so far and seems to be holding up good. I leave outside and use with my launch monitor. Haven’t had any elbow issues so it must be soft enough. You certainly wear grooves into it but no faster than an expensive mat. I think it is a great mat for this price range

I must say, this mat is AWESOME!!! I have now hit thousands of golf balls off of it...and STILL in GREAT condition. The cushion underneath feels good...and turf holds up WELL!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Perfect for indoor practice. Ample size for full swings with any club. Substantial enough to support your weight with just a little give so that it doesn’t feel like you’re on a hard floor, but not too mushy either. Just right. After a month, it appears to be tough enough to take repeated iron hits to it without showing any wear. Multiple tee options. Unfolded easily and smoothed out with a minimum amount of pressure. A great value. Highly recommended.
