Fantastic
Had a head gasket leaking badly, had a read about this product, followed instructions. It does exactly what it says on the tin (bottle). Saved me around £1500

Amazing
Been a Mechanic for 30 plus years and never thought this would work. My Honda has only 6 months of life left before the car is scraped and it developed a head gasket leak. Tested with a leak tester and the liquid turned yellow indicating a head gasket, also loosing water. Head set was £160 from factors so decided to give it a go. Flushed system and added as per instructions. Car has been fine since, that was 3 months ago. Car has done over 600 miles with no problems even on the hottest days on the M1 and M25. I don't think this would work for everyone as would depend on what state the head gasket was in but it is defiantly worth a try. Probably would eventually fail but a very good quick fix to get you out of trouble.

Waste of money - Do not buy !
This was a waste of money, did not work and i followed the instructions to the letter, to make sure, i checked the steal seal website and read the actual instructions, which advise taken out the spark plugs one by one to identify the culprit. Flushed the coolant 3 times before adding sealant and ran for 30 mins when temp reached 90 degrees. Left it overnight for a whole 24 hours and next day ran again for 30 mins but right at end started bubbling and overheating. Since then flushed it several times, which was a pain to get rid of all this sealant and even now with distilled water added it is still overheating. Gist is; if you have a head gasket issue, then there is no choice but to strip the engine and clean it and replace the gasket. This will now be my next plan, just wished i get my money back but this seller simply states follow the claim procedure on the bottle, and that is steal seal requires a mechanical reciept advising head gasket failure or a scrap certificate. This mean forking out more money to a mechanic just to get your money back for this cr*p bottle of snake oil and that means the gaurantee is a lie.

Steel seal saved me scrapping my car
I don’t normally write reviews but I have a Jaguar XF 3.0 my 2010 ,head gasket has gone £2000-£3000 to fix I was going to scrap car thought I’d give the steel seal a go nothing to lose except a nearly £80 for 2 bottles of steel seal because mines a 3 ltr I was very sceptical I followed instructions perfectly if you have pink or red antifreeze drain it out because it will not work put plain tap water in for stuff to work anyway followed instructions once you warmed engine up for about half switch off leave it to cool down over night for stuff to work can’t believe the steel seal has actually worked no more clouds of white smoke water not bubbling over pressure bottle heating red hot again as it should be just had problems getting air locks out but all back to normal I’m over the moon like I said I was very sceptical as I’ve worked with cars all my life but follow instructions to the letter don’t just pour it in flush your system first especially if you have long life antifreeze in usually pink because it won’t work once steel seal has done its job just drain and put your antifreeze in as normal thank you steel seal well worth the money

Be careful, this product is not a solution.
Yes. Steel Seal treatments often cause or trap air in your engine's cooling system, which can result in a lack of interior heating (blowing cold air) or a fluctuating temperature gauge. AI response. I followed the instructions to the tee; drain system, flush the system, refill with suggested water type, drain, plug, and refill coolant, whilst adding product. Bleed, and top up. Causes more issues than it fixes.

This stuff works!!
I was very sceptical of this product, but how wrong was I? I had the dreaded white gunk under the oil cap, loss of coolant, and white smoke from the exhaust. I decided to give this a go, and I was amazed to find that it works. I followed the instructions to the letter. I drained the coolant system, and refilled it with just plain water, then I followed the instructions on how to add the product. I then drained the water, and filled it with normal coolant. No more white gunk under the oil cap, no more white smoke from the exhaust, and I have not lost a drop of coolant. It remains to be seen how long this will last, but so far, I have driven 500 miles, And it is working. I would recommend anyone having the same issues as I had, to give it a try.

It worked for me
I flushed my system of old coolant prior to use, including my heater core and refilled with regular tap water along with the Steel Seal. I followed the instructions on the back of the bottle and the leak was fixed. I left over night, drained the next day, and refilled with coolant. I don’t drive the vehicle daily so I’m hoping the Steel Seal will last. It did work for me and I like that it won’t clog your radiator or cooling system.

Worth a try. Worked a treat.
Came highly recommended by a mechanic. Saved us an expensive fiddly hard to reach repair for a water leak. Hopefully does the trick. No complaints so far. Worth a try for the cost.
