Pics are Freelicht vs. Competitors.I bought these lights back in 2019 but didn’t install until a year or so later. We installed a few and I was instantly in love so I went on Amazon to buy another case or 2 but they were no longer available so I just bought the highest rated/best selling ones available on Amazon thinking they would be the same. .. not even close. See photos; the “best sellers” on Amazon had a purple trim, no bevel, and were just horrible looking in comparison to the Freelicht. I returned them immediately and bought another “highly rated” brand and they just as bad. I was so disappointed I couldn’t find anything as good as the Freelicht ones I had bought. I ended up settling on a competitor (can’t mention brand name) that were of similar quality as far as material, beveled edge, trim color, clips, etc. but they were more expensive, flickered while dim and the color light was different than these despite both being 5000k.I literally spent the last year searching high and low for these online and am so beyond excited that as of Feb 2022… they’re back!!! :) so glad I never gave up on my search!! Lesson learned.. plan ahead and stock up on spares because years down the road.. if one breaks and they’re not made anymore…. You’re stuck replacing ALL the lights rather than one and prices on these lights will continue to rise as they become to new staple for recessed lighting.Oh and their customer service is phenomenal. I had reached out to them with a question and in that time that we messaged back and forth, the price had gone up…. They offered to honor the original price and refunded me the difference promptly. Couldn’t be happier!

I have a brand new house only 4 months and 1 light has burned out, another light's cover decided to break by itself and flops enough where we noticed it in the kitchen. we love how they're energy efficient and are not hot like old fashioned light bulbs but for something brand new, I would expect the product to last longer, especially for how it costs to replace. we have about 20 to 24 of these light only 2 have been an issue. I believe these issues were manufactured defect which is normal (1 in 1000) so I wouldn't judge the seller based on these. I am happily giving 5 stars rating due to the easiness of installation, quality, and efficiency.Moreover, these are so tiny that you'll only need about two inches of height above ceiling require to install this means even if you have closed by studs, you can still install it easily with just a little extra work.

I am an Electrician and I have installed over a 100 of these lights in the last 6 months and I can tell you from 35 years of installing cans THESE things are just the best.The biggest difference with these type of lights is the 110 degree light output - in other words recessed cans installed in an 8' ceiling have a 4' coverage when the light hits the floor whereas these lights have a dramatic light spread that almost eliminates the frustrating dark areas when figuring out placement of the lights.The reason that this is 4 stars is due simply to its obvious cheapness. The price is reasonable enough to expect this but it just needs to be pointed out that there are subtle but obvious differences between these & higher priced ones.

I bought 4 for 100 buck at Home Depot ... the only difference (From Home Depot) was you can change them from 3K 4K or 5k ... a dumb feature .... so amazon 12 for 100 is way better .. the only thing is you have to stick to one brand .... the connection from the light to junction box is different for all of them which is super annoying and they don’t tell you that in the product info 🤷‍♂️🤦.... some have the screw connection from the light side some from the junction box side while others are just completely different connections .... very annoying ... Know how many lights you’re going to want ... order more then you need!

I'm an electrician and I installed these for a customer. They were easy to install and wire. The junction boxes could be a little bigger but overall not bad. The light is nice with good brightness and a soft white color around 3500k or so. I installed a dimmer for these and they dim smoothly without any flickering. They dim to around 10%. Overall they're a great value at this price. Much cheaper than getting traditional "cans", bulbs and trims with similar results. I'd

1) there are only two knockouts on this, so if you're bringing 3 wires in you'll need to double one up.2) the wiring compartment on these is tiny compared to competitor versions of these lights. It makes putting standard cable connectors in there a serious test of one's fine motor skills. And then trying to stuff 2 (or worse, 3) cables in there plus wire nuts is very cramped3) the ground connection is very tight to the knockout meaning you have to shove it out of the way in order to fit a cable connector in there4) they do come with the quick snap wire nut inserts, which was a nice touch5) the ground wire provided is too small a gauge, when trying to insert it into the provided wire nut it just wants to bend and not go inAside from the quirks above these worked perfectly and are incredibly thin making install super simple. make the wiring compartment bigger, give me three knockouts, move the ground connection, increase the ground gauge and you get 5 stars.

These lights are easy to install and thin enough that if you cut a hole over a truss, you can slide the box into one side and the light still fits flush with the ceiling. This is a plus as sometimes your hole is in the wrong place, but where it needs to be. I will be buying more of these lights for my business.

Amazing. The eas of install with these lights is so simple. Hook up electrical lines push into the attic and you are set. They are as thin as a piece of drywall so I didn't have to worry about ceiling braces when determining placement. I have several mounted directly under 2x4 s and the fit absolutely flush. They are amazingly bright. I was surprised with how thin they are that would still be that bright.
