Fluval Bug Bites is a complete fish food that features a unique insect-based formulation, enriched with multiple quality proteins and carbohydrates that are ideal for tropical fish such as bettas, goldfish, cichlids, guppies, and tetras. Bug Bites’ daily diet color enhancing formula contains a significant amount of shrimp (a source of astaxanthin), which boosts the natural pigmentation in tropical fish. Insects are hunted by fish in the wild as they offer a widely available food source. The instinctive feeding habit is the foundation behind Bug Bites, which are formulated with nutrient-rich insect larvae and enriched with multiple quality proteins, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Most freshwater fish are omnivores and regularly feed on insects in the wild. However, not all insects are created equally when it comes to a fish’s diet. Bug Bites are formulated with sustainably harvested Black Soldier Fly Larvae (#1 ingredient across all formulas), which are raised on fruits and vegetables for exceptional “super food” nutrition. The only issue wasn't with the product itself—it was with the shipping. desertcart sent it in a non-padded paper mailer, and it arrived with the cap off, the seal broken, and flakes scattered all over inside the package. Fortunately, enough food was still usable, but I hope desertcart packages these better in the future. I may just stick to buying it from Petco like I have in the past so I don't have to worry about it arriving damaged. The product itself still deserves 5 stars!

Great food, but shipping needs improvement My fish absolutely love Fluval Bug Bites! It's a high-quality food, and they eagerly eat it every feeding. I've had great results with it and will definitely continue buying it. The only issue wasn't with the product itself—it was with the shipping. Amazon sent it in a non-padded paper mailer, and it arrived with the cap off, the seal broken, and flakes scattered all over inside the package. Fortunately, enough food was still usable, but I hope Amazon packages these better in the future. I may just stick to buying it from Petco like I have in the past so I don't have to worry about it arriving damaged. The product itself still deserves 5 stars!

I have alot of fresh water fish bettas, tetras, cichlids, silver dollars, Angelfish and a few more fish. They all love Bug Bites Flakes. Fluval is a top name in Aqurium products and you can see why if you try this your fish will love it. I haven't had any fish that won't eat this stuff. And I do feel like it improves the fishes color. Just try it bet your fish will love it.

The fish seem to like it, but they eat their own babies so I don’t know if we can trust their judgement. The flakes are a little larger and thicker than some brands I’ve used, but the crush up just fine.
