Caffè Borbone Espresso Pods, Miscela Oro Gold Blend, Dark Roast ESE Pods - 50 Count

I love this coffee. Great smooth and strong flavor of true Italian espresso, with a nice crema.

I have an espresso machine and was tired of the messy grinds. I bought these but found that if I soaked them for a few seconds in water and before I use them, they were perfect for making an espresso or a cappuccino. Now this is all I use and the gold has normal acidity so I can have my 2 cups each !

I've been buying these pods for years, and figured it was finally time to give them to review they deserve. I'm no coffee connoisseur (as indicated by the fact that I'm buying pods instead of grinding my own beans), but I can confidently say that these produce a delicious latte. The flavor is smooth & strong, but not too bitter - lovely. The pods (incredibly convenient) fit perfectly into my machine, and are good quality. Out of all the boxes I've purchased over the years, I've had - a most - two individual pods that came out of the wrapper damaged. I have seen a handful that have had the tab (little flap of extra filter for you to grab for easy removal after brewing) get heat pressed into the wrapper. This is a bit annoying, but ultimately has no negative impact on the integrity of the pod itself, provided you tear it away from the wrapper with care. Overall, these are fantastic little pods. I've purchased them for years, and will continue to do so for many more!

The coffee is decent, though not outstanding. It's not very strong and the flavor isn't particularly rich, but it's still good value for the price. I ordered 150 pods, so I’ll be drinking it for a while. It’s definitely drinkable and gets the job done, but don’t expect anything exceptional.

The coffee is very good, the pods are wrapped in foil, easy to use in my SMEG espresso machine. Plus, they are a great value in the 150 count box. Nice aroma, good foam, nice color and not too bitter.

Although the pods did not work in my espresso machine the Borbone company gave me a one time refund. Very gracious.

We have bought countless boxes of Borbone coffee pods. We got our first box of borbone coffee with the new blue logo on the packaging. I thought that was the only thing that was new but it seems that the coffee is different too. It comes out much slower and has a bitter taste. Not the same. Also, Borbone is Amazon shipping out your boxes? Because when it arrives, it looks like it’s been dragged all over the streets, dented and dirty.

I’m so proud I figured out I could use these in my Nespresso Vertuo and save tons of $$$. It makes a single shot so 66¢ per cup for me. I took the lid off the single shot capsules and then stuff these into the bottom cup part. It works perfectly and the coffee is delicious! It is so much easier than refilling the capsules and putting a new lid on. I wouldn’t have bought the Nespresso machine for myself and was pretty much priced out of using it, but it is working well with these!

I really enjoyed the Caffè Borbone Gold Blend. It has a rich aroma and a smooth, full-bodied flavour that makes every cup feel special. What I like most is that it reminds me of the coffee you get in the coffee shops in Naples — that familiar, authentic Italian taste that feels like home. It’s a great coffee to enjoy at any time of the day, and I would definitely buy it again.

El café está bueno, tiene sabor, pero es para quienes buscan un café no demasiado fuerte. No digo amargo, sino fuerte.
