## Description

Don’t miss the hit streaming series Reacher ! Jack Reacher’s Rules is the ultimate fan’s guide to the World of Reacher! Featuring selections from all seventeen electrifying Jack Reacher novels and an introduction from Lee Child himself, this one-of-a-kind book compiles timeless advice from maverick former army cop Jack Reacher, the hero of Lee Child’s blockbuster thrillers and now the star of a major motion picture. My name is Jack Reacher. No middle name, no address. I’ve got a rule: People mess with me at their own risk. You don’t have to break the rules if you make the rules. Case in point: Jack Reacher, the two-fisted, quick-witted, “current poster-boy of American crime fiction” ( Los Angeles Times ). The brainchild of #1 New York Times bestselling author Lee Child, Reacher is a freelance troubleshooter with a mysterious past—and a serious passion for justice. Now the hard-won knowledge and hard-hitting strategies of fiction’s toughest tough guy are within every thriller reader’s reach—in a rapid-fire rundown of the trade secrets, tried-and-true tricks, and time-honored tactics that separate the man in the street from the man to beat. Rule 1. When in doubt, drink coffee. Rule 2. Never volunteer for anything. Rule 3. Don’t break the furniture. Rule 4. Only one woman at a time. Rule 5. Show them what they’re messing with. Please note: Jack Reacher’s Rules is a compilation of advice, wisdom, and facts from the Jack Reacher series of novels by #1 New York Times bestselling author Lee Child. It features an introduction by Lee Child, but is not a Jack Reacher novel.

Review: Great insight into WWRD. - For all those people who gave this one star, SERIOUSLY? I mean I read the description of what this book was, and had no illusions about the content! This is supposed to be a fun little excerpt of how and why Reacher acts how he acts. It's sort of his "rules to live by" book, with a few extras thrown in. I can't believe there are Reacher fans complaining about this. I loved it. I've been a fan for years and will happily add this to the collection. Why anyone would think this was more than what the description details, especially when Child just came out with a full story in September, is beyond me. If Reacher is one of your heroes, as he is mine, then you'll love this book and it's What Would Reacher Do attitude. The only thing I didn't like was the "Things you'll never hear Reacher say" parts. Didn't need those. Just read the book, and imagine it's Jack running down his lists of morals, tips, and behavior. If you're a true fan, you'll enjoy this for what it is, not what you were expecting it to be.
Review: If you are a Jack Reacher fan this book will provide an informative background of the character. - Lately I have become somewhat of a Jack Reacher fan. Even though I saw the movie some time ago starring Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, I still did not search out the books about the guy. Recently I was given the first Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child and after reading it I was hooked. I like to know everything about a character in an action novel and decided to purchase this book (Jack Reacher’s Rules) which gives an interesting and informative outline of how Jack thinks about all kinds of things. I found this 152 page hardcover book, with an introduction by Lee Child, who created the Jack Reacher character, a quick and enjoyable read. It covers more than 55 areas of Jack’s rules which came from the Lee Child’s numerous novels. Some of the areas covered include the following: “Be prepared, choose your weapons, the United States Army Military Police, the rules of coffee, conquer your fear, confronting death, cracking codes and passwords, fighting, fighting tips, hand-to-hand combat, how to shake hands, hitchhiking rules, West Point, Lessons learned in the military, Hogan’s alley, how to tell if they’re lying, Reacher’s moral code, the science of the perfect shot, why it’s not smart to have a phone, how to win the battle, how to win the war” and much, much more. Even though some of the reviews were critical of this book I personally liked it because it gave me a guide to follow when I read more of Jack Reacher novels. Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: The Samurai Soul: An old warrior’s poetic tribute).

### ⭐ This book is a great buy! Or would be, at 99 cents. :/

Like many of the previous reviews, I pre-ordered this book and am more than slightly disappointed. Not because of the content, which as a major Reacher fan I found to be *mildly* entertaining. But for $10? Gimme a friggin break. I feel totally ripped off, let down and misled. "A Wanted Man" got a LOT of mixed reviews, yet as a Reacher fan I went ahead and bought it & found it to be one of the less-entertaining books in Mr. Child's Reacher series (a little slow overall), but still a decent read for the money. This book OTOH, is an insult, a pure money grab. It would have been a splendid addition as "bonus material" in A Wanted Man...people might have complained less about that book if they'd included Reacher's Rules at the end. On its own however, this book is a waste of money.
