Interesting
A bit of space horror I enjoyed it and will continue reading. Why do I need eight more words, why?

Interesting
This is basically a book about the start of an intergalactic war between humans and an unknown species. The premise is good, but the first book doesn't supply all of the information needed, for me, to be an effective series. The next book in the series should start to address this

Unfulfilling
Felt very unfilled with this book. Three stars may be due to my generous nature. It starts out very slow, picks up, but the action seems weirdly erratic and at times without purpose. I could not form any bonds with any of the characters, almost all seem to be absorbed in self and mostly unlikeable. Also, was it just me or was anyone else confused with the time period that this story was taking place? The neding was especially disappointing. I will not be ordering the follow-up to this book.

One Hell of a book!
Mars. I have to admit, I have a weakness for the planet Mars. Ever since I was a kid, if Mars was in the title I was down for it. Books, movies, games, mention Mars, and I will give you a shot.A couple of weeks ago, the book Hell On Mars came across my social media feed. I clicked the link, was taken to Amazon.com, and happily paid the money for this book. To be fair, my to-be-read pile is my own personal bid for immortality. Be that as it may, I was not sure when I would get to it. I wanted something different, so it was moved to the top of my pile.Different is what I got. There is a government black site on the planet Mars. The project involved tearing a hole in the fabric of reality and otherworldly monsters start pouring through. Those that survived the initial attack shut the power down to close the gate and put themselves back into cryosleep, and lose contact with Earth. A cargo freighter was tasked with going to Mars to ascertain what happened to the site. Everything will be fine as long as the power is not turned back on…This book is short. Like possibly taking it down in one sitting, or a weekend if you wish to draw it out. It moves fast and is very entertaining. If you are a video game/movie nut, you will pick up on certain inspirations for this book. This is not a rip-off. It is an homage and adds to the overall fun of the book. There was only one thing that bothered me, and it is small. It ended on a cliffhanger. Luckily, I care enough about the characters to continue on in this series.I give this 4.5 bookmarks out of 5.

Bloody Cosmic Horror
This book has everything going for it good cosmic Horror good characters all around and great story it has a lot of places it could go It was quite intense in places gory It just seemed like there wasn't enough With 2 authors that are obviously good at what they do I feel like they could have gave us at least over 200 pages For the price that I paid and for the price that I will have to pay to get the rest of the books in the series More than likely won't continue the series But if you love cosmic horror that is intense has good action good characters and Has creatures from beyond the veil and are very HUNGRY If you're down to spend the money on the rest of the series for short entry books this might be just for you

Intense, ceaseless action and compelling page turner.
I saw an advertisement for the first in the series, Hell on Mars on the book of faces. Reluctantly, I followed the link, (I say reluctantly as we all know what happens when we respond to an advertisement on the book of faces....) As it turns out, I am very pleased that I did click that link. I have been longing to find some Sci-fi reading that would evoke a similar intensity as did John Scalzi with Old Man's War, or Richard K Morgan with Altered Carbon. This series outdoes them both. Prior to beginning this journey, I was aware that this is a multi-book series, so I didn't expect a firm conclusion to Hell on Mars, but I did feel the urge to continue the saga. I'm currently deep into book three of Reality Bleeds and have enjoyed every turn of the page. The action is ceaseless and the story rivetingly engaging. I find myself longing to complete whatever task is at hand so that I can get back to these characters and their struggles to survive. It remains to be revealed if the rest of the series will hold up and continue to keep me glued to my chair, but so far I find it an incredibly exciting and entertaining experience. Fantastic job!!!

Not enough to get me to come back
I didn't really care for this one. I tried to find at least one character that I cared enough about to continue with the series. Unfortunately, by the end of the book, I really didn't care if any of them made it.

Doom meets the Evil Dead
Really good novel. Plenty of interesting characters and the pace keeps up throughout most of the book. Suspense and horror abound. The only real question I have is when does this book take place? It seems like it's set in the modern day based off of everyone's speech, but the setting seems to be in the future due to space ships and a small research station on Mars

Aliens, Contagion,Walking Dead Mash Up
With a bit of cold war the Russians are coming! Starship Troopers & alt-history thrown in.Highly derivative but with so many sources involved interesting enough for me to stick around to see where this goes.Characters interesting enough that you care or at least wonder who's going to survive.

Doom meets Lovecraft.
Amazing. In this alternate history universe, a cargo crew responds to a problem at a research facility on Mars and end up fighting for their lives against lovecraftian type creatures. It was so enthralling that I read it in one sitting. Humor, action, horror, thrills n spills. It has it all.Even has a bonus chapter that expands the world by providing some of the alternate history of earth and the state of things.I'm going to preorder book 2 right away.

Hell on Mars indeed!
What a great start to what looks to be a very exciting series. Hell on Mars jumps right off the deep end from the first pages and throws the reader into the heart of the action. I'm right there with the crew, experiencing the horrors they are facing, and seeing them rise to the challenge, in spite of the odds. As soon as I finished reading, i had to buy the next installment, I NEED to know what happens next!
