This has been the best kettle ever and we use it multiple times a day. The look is great and the solid metal design is worth every dollar. This review is actually to say thank you to Ascot customer service as the kettle after almost two years stopped working as something wit the switch was bad. I emailed support and a few days later they express shipped a new one to me. Excellent! Thank you Ascot.

This tea kettle is absolutely perfect! Not only is it incredibly cute and stylish, but it also fits perfectly with our kitchen's interior design. We were specifically looking for an all-steel kettle, with no plastic, as we wanted something healthier for boiling water, and this one delivers on that front. As a tea lover, especially during winter when my family drinks hot and warm water all day, this kettle has become a staple in our home. We use it at least five times a day, and it's quickly become the most used appliance in the kitchen. The quality is excellent — it's durable, easy to use, and heats water quickly. For the price, it’s an outstanding value. I’m really impressed with how well it holds up and how simple it is to operate. I wrote a review early on but never submitted it. Now that the thing won't operate, the words below aren't worth a thing... Basically the connection is probably gunked up with minerals . Worked well for 15 months. I love this kettle. It's the third one since my old one died a slow death, and 3rd time is the charm. On/Off. Simple. Retro looking in red. Heats well. Pours great. I had tried a white European one that looked great on the counter, but I wasn't happy with how it sputtered and poured too much too quickly, so I sent it back. It wasn't a bargain, either. Then I got a beautiful glass model with all the bells and whistles of different temperatures and keep warm settings, but after a few weeks, it died quickly when something fell out of the cabinet above and broke the thing. This one is well priced and heats up about the same as the others. Just beware of the separate lid, the metal handle of which gets burning hot - In most cases, it's not necessary to touch it anyway unless you are filling up the carafe with cold water. For safety reasons, I guess, a replacement plastic handle is included, but the original is on so tightly that I just left it alone. Very happy with this purchase. I hope it has a long healthy life. UPDATE of course is that its on/off lever died after 15 monthsif daily use.

EDIT: BROKE THREE MONTHS AFTER I WROTE THE BELOW REVIEW. SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. WILL RETURN. Nice kettle, stylish. Water gets cold quickly though as the pour spout is too wide and doesn't have a cap. It's not a cheap kettle so to be missing key design elements is disappointing. Spout should have a cap and the plug should be much longer or make it cordless. The cord is a very weird short length. I like the style and how fast it boils water so I did not return. I'd go with a different kettle next time

My kettle is wonderful! So cute in our cozy and hears water very quickly. The customer service for the company is excellent - they were quick to respond when I emailed that my kettle had stopped working after 1 year and sent me a new one right away!

Beautiful design. I usually don’t like alot of stuff on my countertops it this is the star and I have people always ask where I got it . From follows function and this heats up water quickly and HOT! Buy it.

Wanted an electric kettle to heat water for tea and soup. This kettle is excellent. Easy to clean because the opening is large enough to reach in. Interior is stainless steel. Kettle has a "fill to line" Put in water (even tap water is acceptable), push down the small bar on side under handle which begins the heating. This bar lights up while it is heating. Heats very quickly within minutes. Water is HOT, boiling. The kettle shuts off when the water is boiling. The spout leans away from the handle so no steam will come in contact with hands. Handle is a large gentle curve down the side, plastic covered with easy ridges for non-slip grip. Top cover made of metal has a round circle handle with a plastic edge in the top and fits tightly. There is also a plastic replacement top cover if desired. Have used it with the metal top and haven't had any problems with the cover being too hot to handle. Kettle sits on a round heating base with a 24" cord to three prong plug. Kettle can be easily picked up from the base. Comes with instruction booklet.
