One of the most important contributions from one of the most important feminist scholar towards critical engagement with international law. Professor MacKinnon has a great deal to contribute towards our robust analysis without abandoning the potential and the promise that the original ideas have for women.

Is ths true?
I bought the book because I thought that the title was funny. I very soon found out that this subject is not a laughing matter and it is such a very serious matter that I was embarrassed that I laughed. Catherine MacKinnon has an extraordinary way of writing of the plight of women around the world and this book should be read by all who call themselves socially aware.

takes courage to face this truth
Read this brilliant writer if you want to understand that there is a war on women, and how it works

The usual feminist one-sided, hypocrite bigotry
As if boys and men would not be held as slaves in many parts of the world, as if men a boys would not be uses a cannon fodder in pointless wars, as if men would not be 95% of all workplace death and 75 of all suicide victims and nobody cares, as if men would not be 80% of all violence victims, as if men would not be obligated to certain grooming practices in some parts of the world, as if men could say what they want (even in the west most men do not dear to speak up against feminism out of fear for their livelihood), as if men would not be stoned to death in even more cruel ways then women, as if genital mutilation of boys would not only be legal, but promoted even in the west, as if all boys would get education, as if there would be no impoverished men and as if not 80% of all homeless in the west would be men…And while there is a huge outcry whenever something bad happens to women, when something happens to men it is mostly ignored under the factually wrong pretext that men as a whole are privileged, what is lie, that could not be bigger.Women are not everywhere and always treated human, but man are treated a lot worse in many parts of the world, and especially in the west and especially from people like Catharine A. MacKinnon.

It was a gift. The recipient seemed very happy to have it. I was pleased that it arrived on time and in good condition.

Catharine MacKinnon is a genius
The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because (as a radical feminist who has read MacKinnon's other work before) I found some of the content repetitive. But verily, MacKinnon is a genius. If you're looking for intellectually solid work on women's rights and international law, look no further.
