The bottom horizontal strand is not energized and bottom row openings are 2" x 3". **Q: what product would be good to keep people out of my yard?** A: A motion activated spray system that sprays mace instead of air freshener would probably do it. Or, motion activated laser sights that can track movement - so that the little red dot shows up on the persons chest and moves with them until they are outside your yard.
