This is easy to assemble, and holds a lot of storage. I keep board games and blankets in mine. It will have a "new" smell for the first couple of days, that will go eventually go away. I was hoping the lift top would be enough that I could comfortably work on my computer. It does not lift over my knees.I am 5'10" to give you an idea, and my couch does sit a little higher. If you want the lift top to go above your legs, be sure to double check measurements.

Cheap plastic that looks like leather, and the stitches ripped after 3 weeks of just sitting there. The lift mechanism works but doesn’t lift very smooth or evenly. I have to treat it like it’s made of paper for it to not to fall apart. Disappointed but it works as a short term ottoman, you get what you pay for

We love this ottoman coffee table, It fits our space perfectly. The only down side at all, is the top must be lifted from the center because the two lifting hinges aren't connected. That being said, great value for the price.

Bought a new house and coffee tables were too big for room..So I got TWO for storage, sitting, and foot rest...perfect..only thing I didn't like was the legs were cherry..wish they were darker to blend in with bench

This ottoman is just what we needed. We can us it as a table to eat or work on a computer and then fold it down to put our feet up. You do have to be careful to lift the top up from the center of the ottoman to pull it up evenly, but it is not that big of a deal. The reason for the 4 stars are the feet. This is the only thing that you have to assemble on this piece. They screw in, but don't seem to be super fixed in position. If you move the ottoman around, the feet sometimes get twisted around. Just something to pay attention to. For the price, this is a nice multifunctional piece for our family room.

I love the storage space and ease of assembling. Color is great, it looks just like the pic. However it is already starting to come apart and we have only had it for about 3 months. It would make sense if I had kids or lift it up often but no. It is just coming apart at the seems. So kind of a waste if I need to replace it in a month.

I have had this storage bench for over and year and I am happy to say that the lift on the bench lid still works. The only that has given out is the legs a little but over all I love this bench.
