HDMI Splitter 1 In 8 Out 4K 60Hz Premium Quality 4K Ultra HD, HDMI Splitter for Multiple Monitors Duplicate/Mirror by J-Tech Digital [JTD4KSP0108]

I am recently renovating my unfinished basement and in doing so am planning on building an In-Wall Media Center. We are adding new rooms to the basement and I am wanting to add TV's to the new rooms, in addition to rooms in the house that never had TV connections for future use. My current satellite provider only allows up to 4 HDTV boxes in the house so as I was investigating my options I ran into this J-Tech 1x8 Powered Splitter with Ultra HD 4K and 3D Resolution support. I ran up to 50 ft. HDMI cables to each room consisting of up to 6 total rooms and connected the splitter as described. It did exactly what is stated it could do and was a perfect solution for my In-Wall media center and the added HDTV Stations in the rooms that we never had TV connections to before. This unit was very important for me to see that I could have all TV sets on or only a limited number of the TV sets operating and this splitter works great. No distortion of video or audio no matter how many TV sets were in operation This is a great product and works very well. I am very happy with this product.

We have 5 100' booster-ed HDMI cables, 1 50' & a 25' cables connected to this splitter & we are impressed! We are running an American Legion Bingo on this from a Tablet & it works great! We have 6 55"/1 43" 4k/1080 TVs & WE ARE HAPPY! First run with this config is tonight :) NOTE: If we did this again, we would go the Ethernet/HDMI rout! Cheers, Jon

Works. Improves picture and sound for the TVs connected. When any TV connected to the box is turned on, the box resets. This causes TV in operation to go blank until the reset is complete, about 2 seconds. Not a problem for me.

I had high hopes for this splitter, because the description indicated it would work very well for my problematic home theater system. I have a late model Denon AVR and a small 7-in HD monitor I use for tweaks to my system setup and internet radio stations. I need the signal split with 4K HDMI output for my projector to one side, and 1080p to the other. I have gone through numerous splitters offered by Amazon at various price points, and none of them were up to the task, despite the seller's claims of compatibility. Many will split the lower resolution signal and send 1080p to both sides. Most of them say they can handle the EDID requirements of dissimilar monitors. They dont. This one is no exception to the rule and obviously doesn't satisfy the requirements of my 4K projector. This particular unit was worse than the others, because I couldn't get it to output a clean signal at any resolution on either side. Both the projector and the monitor would continuously blink off and on without ever producing a clear image. So I would say this one is the worst and that if you have a system with two different resolutions for the monitor screens, it's a no go.

I had an awesome shopping experience and due to the fast shipping and turnaround time. The product arrived quickly and in excellent condition (NEW) and worked right out of the box. Slim low profile fits almost anywhere on a shelf. LED lights are bright and easy to view. ON/OFF switch is placed on the front as t should. The input port is on the left rear facing the unit. The rest of the ports nicely continue from 1-8. The power up is fast and immediate. Thank you very much! ALOHA!

This product works as designed, unfortunately I wanted to "extend" to multiple screens using multiple tabs/windows --> this device will only show 2 open windows and "duplicates" from one of 2 screen view options ... it's of no use when I'm connecting to 8 monitors.

I found this to be the only HDMI splitter that will negotiate EDID properly between an old receiver with flakey EDID HDMI handshake, and a Nvidia Shield TV to pass through lossless audio formats (Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio), and high bit rate Dolby Digital Plus / EAC-3. I left the splitter on auto, and it just worked right out of the box. I have tried at least 6 other splitters at many price levels, and a EDID HDMI emulator, but nothing else was able to negotiate uncompressed/lossless audio formats like this unit. I like that it includes the power transformer, and it has a locking ring to keep it from coming unplugged on the device side. It gets warm, and might do well with having some ventilation.

Not worth the price tag, nor the recommendation. Maybe got it defected, but too late now..
